i took a bolt cutter and just chopped off an inch or so. Then I had to by a metal stop thingy at ACE that went on garage doors so that it would hook on the brake. Works like a charm

definition of sable; me being stupid and hitting the "s" instead of the "c" key and not noticing it until now

Isn't there a but that adjusts cable tension up near the e-brake if you pull off the center console cover? I was thinking that there was.

And also, does anyone have pictures of modified ST cables? I have the cables from a fifth gen. GT-S, but they're torn in a couple parts and the metal cable is exposed, so I may use the ST cables.

you have to go in a cut if its too long

hahahaha def you lmao

yea you need a gt e-brake cable, calipers, rotors, pads, the backingplate with the e-brake assembly stuff.....

basically
the cable and everything attached to the rear hub incl. the hub
if you can then MY advice is go to a junk yards
find a GT
and unbolt the WHOLE hub in 1 piece with rotor and caliper attached ...
then pull the cable
the just bolt the new full hub assembly back on and reattach the cable and a lil bit of brake line and your good to go...

how bout converting my ST front to GT...snivesatgt looked up the backing plate for me and said that the parts number for GT and ST are different. i bought the spindles w/ hub and backing plate from a junk yard. i already have the crossdrilled and slotted rotors and calipers for a GT and still need to order stainless steel brake line

now installing it is another story. anyone with an ST ever done this?
how hard would it be? would i have to take out the axle to remove the backing plate??
i have no clue how to install this

PLEASE HELP

THANX
ALEX

Sweet i think i just found my next project.. cause the junkyard is full of rear deisc set ups. I thought the 5th gen were 4 bolt though..

Also has any one had problems with using calipers from junkyards?

personally
just get ones from the junkyard

and then go to advanced and trade them in as a core
and get remanufactured calipers
along with new rotors and pads

Doug,
Some STs(and maybe GTs/GT-Ss) are four-lug. I do know for sure that a lot are five-lug though. I got my rear disc stuff off of a fifth gen. GT-S and it was five-lug.

Daniel, how much do new calipers cost if you've got cores(for regular people?)
