Wanted to order 18x7.5 Tenzo RS5 rims-Silver, with +38 offset. Wheelsnext was out of stock. Called wheelbuy.com and they said they had them, but only +40 offset.

I basically told him I was looking for +38, then he said Tenzo did not make a +38 wheel confused.gif He made it seem like Tenzo did not make ANY rim of +38 offset.

First: Is this true?

Second: Should I settle for the +40 offset? For all the $ I'm spending, I figure I should get what I want. PS: I want to avoid using spacers.... thats another reason.

Third: Does anyone know where I can order: 18x7.5 Tenzo RS5 rims-Silver, with +38 offset.

+38 = +40 in offset speak. We ARE talking about 2mm here. Thats 1/5 of a centimeter difference. They fit and no one will be able to tell the difference.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Dude! i was thinking the same thing! I talk to my friend and he said you might be suprised how a +38 and a +40 offset might differ. We all know how tricky buying the right rims is. I thought it might "say" 2mm on paper and look totally different in person.

I was just thrown off by that guys comment. I figure if others make +38 y not Tenzo.

Thanks jgreening.

Anyone elses 2-cents on this?

wheels only come in certain offsets. they usually pertain to what cars they are meant for. I checked the tenzo-r website and the only offset those wheels come in is +42

17x7
5X100/114.3
42mm

Ummm you maybe right. Now that I think of it, wheelbuy may have said either +40 or +42. I'll call them tomorrow to double chk.

unless you are getting a real good price or have your heart set on them I would try to find a different set. mine are +42 and they look sucked in especially in back

Yeah, I may have to look for another rim mad.gif I assumed you had +42. I was actually going to ask if you were happy with your offset.

Thanks for you reply gh0st_d0g, it helps.

Ok, called wheelbuy.com yeaterday, and they said that rim only comes in +45 offset... confused.gif Well, either way if it's +42 or +45, that will not work. I guess I will begin the painful search for the right (18x7.5, +38 offset) rim.
