Is it summer now and everyone decides its time to race??

i mean seriously if you bought a celica cause you thought it was fast, please do us a favor and stop posting questions on how to make your st a 13 second drag mobile.

this also brings me to my next point- our vocabulary usage on this thread is declining rapidly. i cant even understand some of the threads you guys post cause nobody uses commas, periods or anything.

do everyone here a favor people, mainly the older guys who dont read your leet lingo or DONT want to. write properly or at least try to.

thankyou

agreed, i really wish we would adapt the "no illegal racing topics/posts or car vs car threads" that some of the other boards have in place. however we really havent had the troll problems other boards with these rules have had and the illegal racing thing would probably upset more people than what its worth, but i do agree with your points. i am finding myself visiting the boards less frequently for alot of what you mentioned.

tracks are so rare, its not cool. I want no farther then 2 blocks from my house.

As for the illiteracy, yeah it’s starting to grow into a slang fest but for the most part I can decipher the dialect, I don’t think it’s a problem yet.

anyway its getting old seeing these posts about taking cars that are not possible. so what if you kept up with a WRX maybe the driver sucks, maybe they didnt downshift caust it was a CELICA.

i also noticed these damn posts about turbos are poping up everywhere now. all of the sudden everyone is interested in a turbo. confused.gif

I do agree with you on the fact that more people need to start using proper english on here. I am guilty of not always running spell check on my posts. I know it can be difficult to understand what I'm trying to say at times. But I don't think it's right to be so irritated about people street racing. Street racing is not something new that these "punk kids" made up. Street racing was the first ever form of racing. Almost everyone wants a fast car. And it's not just the racing, it's knowing how your car messures up against others. And how your messure up as a driver. As for asking if the car can out run this or saying it can keep up with that, just look at the numbers on the cars to see if it's possable. Posts on "can my car out run this, or which is faster" are anoying. Turbo's and supercharger are something on everyone's mind because they're a lot of maturing people on the site that know they want more out of their cars. That's not to say that 90% of the people who post questions about turbos won't actually do anything. But it's still intertaining to read at times.

I personally dont ever use commas, periods or start new paragraphs cuz i dont know how! :-) I think for the most part people understand me though!

Also i dont think the "theres not a close track" excuse is acceptable. You wouldnt race at the track even if it was nearby so i dont wanna hear it. Theres a track about 30-45 mins from my house and ive never raced at. Partially cuz my dad would kill me if i did.

i am fairly confident that if i shifted from 1 to 3 to 5, my WRX is still a lot faster than any NA 7afe or 5sfe powered celica. but i am pretty heavily modded

umm, whoever is correcting the items list
ie:
pencils, check, and paper.

it is acceptable w/ the comma after check and not after check, english does not specify needing one tongue.gif

The closest real tracks to Charlotte are 45mins. to 1 1/2 hours away, yeah there's Pageland 1/8th Mile but I think it's safer on the street than that place, it's an 1/8th with no real rules other than you wear some sort of helmet.

EDIT: Yes, even if there was one worth going to I would still street race, but most of the rookies whose parents buy them new Evos and STIs will hopefully be at the track instead of doing burnouts and causing trouble trying to show off their new toy and getting the experienced racers in trouble.
