my front brakes are starting to squeak at 66k miles. how long do they last and what are some pads with decent braking power while also having minimal brake dust. my rims will be here soon, and my brakes are squeaking, so i thought this is the time for pads with low amounts of dust. what would you recommend and what would be the price for 2 pads? how much are normal brake pads?

If they have life left, then try taking a brake cleaner and cleaning the rotors and pads. If not, then you'll pay around 50 for a decent one's, and 90+ for good one's.. I like semi-metallic or organic.. But that's me.

I have done a lot of research on pads recently and, based on that, I recommend ceramic. I suggest going to Tirerack.com and look what they have for the 6gc. There are two or three options for ceramic pads. One has much better reviews than the others. Thats what I am going to buy. Hope it helps.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

JDOG - If are going to go with EBC, go with green stuff. Red stuff are made for the track application and do not do well until they are very warm. Cold braking sucks. The green stuff are very good for street / performance. They are actually metalic and not ceramic which is good for wear and dust. The only problem with metalic is that they are known to be loud at times. I am of the opinion that a cheap ceramic is the way to go.

yea i actually just read up on the EBC red stuff pads and decided that they're not the way to go. they're more for racing and higher performance cars. as for the Green Stuff pads, my buddy doesnt like them at all and they make a lot of noise.

think im going to go with Axxis ceramic pads. is there any way we can get Endless pads in the states?
