Don't skimp on it. I figure it might take a cuple pints. Never skimp on the paint. Buy the good stuff too. You'll really notice a difference, especailly in 6 months. Trust me on that, I know.

i just did conversion, 4lt and 4qt are the same, so if the people doing your car are doing alot of layers of paint. then maybe but 3lt should do it.

3 pints in no where near enough. You need to find out how much paint you will have once the paint is mixed. Example, if you buy 2 quarts and the paint required you mix in reducer to spray it, then you will actually have more than 2 quarts of paint because it is reduced. I would recommend 3 quarts reduced. Meaning 3 quarts ofter the paint is mixed with the reducer.

it all depends....i used 2qt on the black on my car and 2qt on the red on my car this included the door jams and the engine bay. I would say you will need 4 qt that will leave you with some extra as well...you will also be getting the reducer and probabily a hardener with the clear coat. What type of paint are you useing? PPG or House of Kolor? Both are really good brands but i'd say 4 qt will be plenty like i said all together i used 4 qt and that was for the whole car as well as my interior, wing, door jams, engine bay, and such. That should be plenty. Good luck with your painting biggrin.gif

It all depends really, some places coat the car different for example, one place might do 3 coats of paint, and 5 coats of clear, where others might do 5 coats of paint, and 5 coats of clear. So it depends on the painter how many quarts/pints you need.

But like everyone said it's always good to have more than less.

when you guys say "i used 4 qts on my car"
its i used 2qts paint 2qts reducer
or 3 qts paint 1 qt reducer?

but if you spray HOK be very tenative to flash time, ect...
that paint is really touchy

Well, it all depends on Pianter. Depend on quality of tools they will use on painting, depends on the color, base color and ETC. As for example - full repaint on Edo's car requered about 3 kilos of paint and about 1 kg of base paint (1 kg of paint is almost equal to one liter some times.)

Sometimes you wount need lots of paint cuz i your car will be prepared well, the base primes layed, base coat of paint layed, so the top coat will be only th epaint, and you wount need lots of it.. As i said - it all depends on the color / painters / preparation.

Here in lithuania - full repaint including paint, preparation and etc cost about 1000 - 1200 Euros... consider this Popstar wink.gif Cuz you can see - the Example Edo's car, full repaint (color change) with full preparation of dings and etc costed 1000 euros, including all jobs and paint it self...
