Sounds a lot like Sega GT, RWD was nowhere near what it's like in real life and AWD was always bad for understeer, you spent the first half of the game with some FWD car since it handled the best, but no FWD in the game could go over 600hp.

Gran Turismo 4 then, it's much better than 3, it didn't feel like they rushed it as much. High mileage actually means something now and they have most of the good Celicas, my only complaint was the point system used A-Spec and B-Spec, it bases your points on your car vs. competition, the better your car the lower your points, only thing is you could have a 6 point race (which is normally a cakewalk) but have one car in the pack that just decimates everyone, like the Buick Special in the Muscle Car Challenge. Also the only body mods other than wheels are the crapy ricer wings, they work, but there are so many better wings availible that look so much better.

I have both GT3 and GT4. but trying new games. but i think enthusia pro racing's more to skills and the style of playing is actually different from grand turismo.

I might have to try it, I don't have an XBOX either so Forza is out. I like skill based games, but I can't stand when a racing game makes AWD out to be the best thing in the world, it's good but RWD doesn't always lose traction like on some older Gran Turismo games or Sega GT, and sometimes they make AWD seem like it's all about understeer. Isn't that the game you posted a few pics on about a week or two ago?

well.. i didn't post the pics.... still trying to hard to mastering the EVO VIII GSR lol.... current racking's 767 i think... need to get to the 1st lol... this game is strict when it comes to racing.... car goes out of track , points get deducted, hit the fence, points get deducted, hit the cars, points get deducted, get hit my other cars, points get deducted too~!!!! gotta drive perfectly in other words.. but the replays are really nice when you drive well lol.

There is another game like that, it's a NFSU2 type though, you win prestige points, if you hit them you lose points and if they hit you, you lose points. I don't remember the name but X-Play gave it a low score since the AI keeps targeting you and if you don't get enough points you lose the race, plus it has that Test Drive rubberband problem so you can't just leave the rest of the pack, get too far ahead and they catch up like they were cops and you had a donut strapped to your ass.

I just checked the Enthusia site, I know which game you're talking about, the commercial where the racers are standing next to CG cars talking junk. It does look pretty sweet.

and the cars are actually designed to move like the actual car does, the way it turns, drifts, sounds....

I think you talked me into it, i'll probably rent it this weekend. I just finished San Andreas and I am about 2-3 hours from finishing Silent Hill 3 (I know SH 3 is old but I went 1,2,4,3 for some reason). I've also been playing Chaos Theory and Halo2 at my friends house, so my gaming has been wrapped up lately.

yea.. if you are down for some actual driving games and not about tuning etc to make your game ride extremely fast and so fast till there's no point playing anymore.. this is the game.. it also have a mechanism that i read on the game box that i allows the weaker cars to have an advantage so the race would be more challanging..

I do like the tuning thing though, I actually wish it went more in depth, a perfect racing game would have the engine tuning features of IHRA 2 for the PC (you can tune to an 11,000 horsepower drag car), the suspension tuning of Gran Turismo, and the parts selection of half the internet, and other stuff like damage (unfortunatly some automakers don't want to see their precious cars get smashed in a game) and competition selection (WRC, NHRA, SCCA, etc.), plus the body design of that Saleen game that came out a couple of years ago. You would need a 40GB hard drive for that much stuff though. Imagine a game where you can build your own car, kind of like Sega GT but more in depth. Can you tune in it, or do you race with what they give you?

you can tune it suspension wise. like ride height, spring rate, damper rate, tone angel, stiffness of suspension, and LSD.. some other stuff i can't remember... performance tuning wise... it's auto tuned.. like when you reach a certain level, you get weight reductions, then upgrade tires, and power. 3 levels of upgrades.
