Its a 3000 GT!

Let me give you a run down of the story:
3000 GT and an older 80 something modled Mustang were racing down a very busy street at 4:30 and the GT went to pass the Mustang and misjudged his distance and went into them then the cars went out of control going into on coming traffic and hit a man in a old car. A girl (the passenger) in the 3000 GT died

Later
Natalie

PS I hear they werent actually racing just playing at high speeds! EITHER WAY THEYRE NOT THE BRIGHTEST

Heres the story printed in the paper:

Kirkland police are investigating two Eastside teenagers for vehicular homicide after a street race yesterday ended with a teenage passenger dead and two other people injured.

An 18-year-old Redmond man and a 16-year-old Kirkland girl were racing eastbound on Northeast 124th Street about 4:30 p.m., said Kirkland Police Lt. Bill Hamilton. In the 11000 block, the man's 1995 Mitsubishi 3000 GT cut in front of the girl's 1988 Ford Mustang, Hamilton said.

The cars collided and then went out of control. The Mitsubishi traveled over the median and into the path of a 1965 Dodge sedan, driven westbound on Northeast 124th Street by an 87-year-old Kirkland man.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, his 16-year-old female passenger from Kirkland and the elderly man were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The passenger died late last night, a hospital spokeswoman said. The younger driver was in serious condition and the elderly man was in critical, she said.

Police did not release the names of those involved.

The driver of the Mustang and her passenger, another 16-year-old girl from Kirkland, were unhurt.

At the scene, police arrested the driver on suspicion of felony vehicular assault and released her to her parents.

A charge of vehicular homicide could result because the passenger in the Mitsubishi died, Lt. Rex Caldwell said.

Caldwell said once the other driver recovers, he'll also be arrested.

Wow, that's horrible that that girl died and the other two are injured badly. frown.gif I think that the drivers deserve to be arrested and charged with vehicular homicide, because racing on a busy street is simply retarded. I hope the drivers get locked up for a long time so they can't kill anyone else with their stupidity.

Are you retarded? They were doing something incredibly stupid, and the girl may not have known they would have been racing. just because she chose to ride dosen't mean she chose to race. And of course they should be arrested... they killed that innocent girl!

If you were a member of that girls family, you would want the guy arrested for what he did. Every time you drive like a jackass there can be consequences.

Deja vu....A friend of mine is recovering after his girlfriend's car got t-boned by two 16-year olds in a brand new Mustang GT. The teens were going too fast, freaked at something or other in the road, slammed on the brakes, couldn't control the car. Kids that age shouldn't be allowed to drive cars they can't handle. I guarantee that if it had beenme in the GT, no one would have been hurt. As with this crash, my friend was the passenger, but luckily, he got hit behind the door, so he survived, albeit with some serious injuries. And guess what the teens got charged with....driving after curfew. Unbelievable.

Those kids are dumb spoiled brats. If I had a brand new $15,000+++ (3 times the cost of my celi) Car ill take ****'n good care with it. What's the point of showing off if people already know your car goes fast. Dumb kids these days and their cars. They should know by now that cars won't help them with their love life. ****, I wouldn't drive dangerously with a family member or a love one inside the car.

That drives me nuts that guys my age (17) can be so immature while driving......its a big responsibility to drive, and alot of kids at my school dont realize that you flirt with death when you drive wrecklessly like that. I mean sure, I lay on it every now and then, but its only when im by myself on a wide open road or an empty highway. And maybe its because i worked hard to pay for my car too, and thats why i take things seriously. Aparently the kids driving the 3000 gt didnt have the same level of respect for their priveledges that i do. rolleyes.gif

i agree with you. the only time i mess around when driving is when the road is almost completely empty except for maybe a friend in his car.

but my friends say that i dont "drive" until i am pissed off at something which isnt too often, i try to not get mad because i do crazy **** sometimes but i NEVER would cut some one that i was racing or playing with off, let alone at 4:30pm on a busy main street.

i love my car and i dont want to lose it, or my life, any time soon.
