^ I bought his projectors- thats why im so pissed

he mailed me the lows in one box and the highs in another, the lows are the ones that are broken. I haven't received the highs yet, if my post office lost them i'm going to have a fit.

edited cause i confused myself.

I'm just angry cause the insurance claim is going to take forever. If the highbeams are ok then i figure i'll keep them and buy the lows from somewhere, or i might just stay with the stocks to save myself the headache and send John the lows back. confused.gif
Idk i havent figured it out yet.

They seemed to be packaged fine- the were wrapped up in lots of bubble rap and stuff. Im sure they could have been wrapped better, but they should not have been broken the way they were packaged.

You cant blame the post office for damaged packages? Who do you blame then? Even if they were marked fragile they probably would have been tossed.

I fuggin hate the post office too.

yeah were they marked fragile? could they have been packaged better?

u cant really blame the post office cuz u take a chance when u send it something via them rather than UPS or Fed EX

i agree with ya Anub1s but feel bad for tina :-(

Honestly? If i were sending them i would not have packaged them the way John did, and I also would not have sent it USPS. I don't like to point fingers and place blame, the reality is the packaging was not the best and neither was the way it was sent. If they were packaged differently im sure they would not be broken. The problem here is that I'm screwed. I also don't think it was marked fragile, i could be wrong, the post office has the package because they need it when the insurance claim goes through.

a) sure, they could have been packaged better.
b) however, they were packed sufficiently. i worked in the industry for a while, and i know that under normal shipping conditions, they would have been more than fine.
c) marking a package as fragile makes it more opt to being mishandled (taken from knowledge of people at fedex/ups/usps).
d) the usps does have a bad reputation, but they are all basically the same. i've recieved packages from all shipping entities that were grossly mishandled.
e) as far as insurance, they could have been covered for more, but the entire package was covered for more than what was paid to me. therefore, if all else fails, tina keeps her stockers, and i have no lights, or i have broken JDM lights.

as far as not blaming the post office? that's the most ignorant statement ever. as erik said, if you can't blame the people that physically handled the package, and OBVIOUSLY sans care, then who are you gonna blame?

as far as questioning the packaging, i understand they could have been packaged better, but that is ALWAYS the case, but it would have had to have taken quite a bit of effort to do what was done. breaking 1, maybe, but shattering one completely, breaking the projector inside, and breaking the other's lens as well? going through a brand new corrugated box, papers, and bubble, is quite a task. i think she even said there was a hole in the box? i'm sorry, but if they really did pierce a box, i blame them.

i honestly do feel bad, but really, precautions were taken that would cover expenses, so that isn't even an issue, or shouldn't be. i'll really hate it if this makes tina dislike me for some reason, but if that's what it comes down to, that's what happens.

-John-

edit: i'm sorry if this comes off strong, but i've had a rough past few days, and i just don't want anyone to think that i'm some negligent ninny. i hate the post office as much as the next guy, but i also hate UPS and FedEX. this has put both me and tina in a horrible spot, and it's very frustrating. all i can say is, at least she does still have the stock lights, and as of now, i'm left with nothing. frown.gif. sorry again if that above came off kinda defensive and strong, but it's what i know and think.

I deal with UPS everyday and we ship computers out and have had one bad experience but it still worked it just got mud on it...I personally feel that it was not packaged well enough thats my feeling. luckily you have insurance so u should just be thankful u have that!

USPS deals with so many packages that the shipper and shipee should prepare for this. its like sending an egg thru the mail when u ship something. u should package it so that the egg wont break thats my look on it

ok well either way it should be packed like its an egg going cross country!

but it doesnt need to be talked about cuz she has insurance on it and it should be covered so no sense in blaming - just a lesson learned

there is nothing that can be done now except wait for the insurance thing to go through. I am not blamining John at all, and I dont want it to come across that I am.

I've had a horrible week and this is just one more thing we dont need to deal with.

It's an inconvinence to both of us. Hopefully the high beams are not damaged and I will order new projectors and John can still have my stock lights.

Tina, Witch side Low beam is cracked? If you wanna sell them cracked or sell only cracked lowbeam(s) - hit me up. If you dont wanna sell them - then i could help you fix them i think, cuz i know a company who could rework stock glass to make it clear, and i do have one side stock low beam glass.

First i need to know whitch side is damaged.

Let me know.

UPDATE: I went to the P.O. today to pick up the high beams and they are fine. so happy!

Then i asked them if i could see the low beams again just to asses the damage. The glass is cracked on both... one is cracked in half, the other is shattered. the inside is fine. So i asked to P.O. what will happen to the lights, like do i get them back after the insurance claim is processed. They said no. So i flipped, not because they aren't giving them back but because when i asked what they are going to do with them they told me they were going to throw them out. Why the hell can't I have them back if they are just going to throw them away? So my mom knows someone at the P.O. and hopefully i can get them back.

At least the high beams are okay. I guess i can just go to toyotaworld.com and buy a new set of projectors and then John can still have my lights, because i feel bad hes with out them and i REALLY want projectors now that i've seen them (even in peices they look sexy as hell) , but its going to have to wait a couple of weeks. frown.gif It could be worse.

Tina
