has anyone joined those sponser groups where they said they will give you like 1000 to fix your car up asl ong as you put ur car in shows and display your sponsers name on your car...and if not has in fact anyone heard of groups like this and what are your thoughs on them...my only reason in asking cause I'm think about signing up for the hell of it...they say it's free of charge unless you get sponsered in which case all it costs is 89 bucks to send all the documents and contracts to your adress...you can be awarded anywhere from 500-25k dollars worth of car parts

Are you talking bout Carsponsorships.com?

I signed up with them for the hell of it. I'm sponsored by decalkits.com. But I dont know...seems like they give that to everyone just so they can charge you 89 bucks. But if you like decals, then you get them for free. (650 dollars worth) But I dont even want them. and if I get them, then I have to put them on and then send them pictures with them on. so...haven't used it. They say that they'll work to get you more sponsorships, but I haven't gotten anything more out of it.

Although MaxItOut Video magazine emailed me saying that they're interested in featuring my car in their video mag. They have yet to get back with me on that though.

My friend, who has a modified eclipse with a body kit already, is supposedly getting a vertical door kit from Sportcompactpro.com. Go to getsponsored.net for that. Haven't gotten it yet.

The more modified your car is, the more you get out of it...is what they say. But I dont know. I'll believe it when I see it.

i can't say this any more....SCAM!!!!!! I had SCP (sports Compact Pro) looking at sponsoring me but that was no sponsor, nothing but a scam! if you wanna get sponsored you have to do the work that comes with it.....write and proposal and send it to the company you are interested in. If your lucky they will show interest, if not oh well and move on. Most major companies want you to make the effort to "sell" your car to them. You have to show you want the sponsorship and why. Also if you don't hear back from the company with in a month call them and fallow through just like you would a job application. Trust me on this I have been doing all this sense November and i can now say i am sponsored by Audiobhn, Andy's auto sports, Meguiar's, and a few local shops. But it's not gonna happen over night, personally i think useing carsponsorships.com is the easy way out, sure it may help but i doubt your gonna get what sponsors you want out of them. biggrin.gif

Okay I'm done now.....but on a brighter note good luck biggrin.gif

Later,
~Christina~

Yeah those are scams.

Real sponsorships ASK for YOU to use THEIR stuff, not the other way around.

yep, they're right. And I learned the hard way. But still, I'm not gonna pursue in this, cause I was just doing it for fun anyways.

Just google it - verry few people have had good things come out of them. People said you're lucky to even get anything from SCP
