Just wondering if anyone has tried this. It seems that they are much cheaper in the states than here but I'm just wondering if its worth the hassle. Also, do you have to pay some sort of duty or something if its bought privatly? Thanks,

Thanks, ss [right][snapback]308050[/snapback][/right] where abouts in canada are you?? theres a thread on another board i'm on that explains every little thing you have to do... im almost positive you pay some kind of duty or tax on it or soemthing, but its a huge hassel.. if you want the thread, i can post it or PM it to you... luckily mine was already brought over here by the previous owner so i didn't have to do anything, woot!

I almost sold my car to a couple people in Canada, but both gave up after they realized what a pain it was to import a car over the border.

I'm from Edmonton, AB.
I found a post at http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=20561 , but I was just wondering if anyone had any actual experience with it and knows for sure what I have to pay in terms of duty. Because if I have to pay taxes or something, couldn't I just get the seller to say I bought it for like $20? |

i think u can go HERE and it tells you how to import a car.. i thought about it too. but.. it's too much of a hassle..
