Most people think 18's look better but 17's with a decent sidewall will ride better.

even though the smaller the wheels the more HP is tranferred, the biggest wheel you should use(to fit bigger brakes) for running around hard is 17. . .
not sure where the knowledge comes from, but i have heard it many times.

I prefer 17" wheels myself on stock bodied Celicas. On car with kits or lips, I think 18" wheels usually look better.

i have 18s, but im going for more show then go.
if u have an everyday driver, 17s with a 40-45 sidewall would work great.
since i have 18's i can feel everyhting on the road.
