Hey everyone i was just wondering for the people who have the clear corner lights did you guys put white or amber bulbs in? I am getting clear corners in a couple of weeks and was deciding what to put in there.... I know that in Illinois the corner lights can be either white or amber just as long as they can indicate that you are signaling to turn.... but the side markers have to be amber...i just wanted some other people's opinion on wheather (SP?) i should put the side markers as white and just hope i dont get pulled over for them or just put amber bulbs in the side markers...any input is appreciated...Thanks

I'm assuming that by "white" you mean "clear". I would put the clear ones because the car would look cleaner. I doubt they'll stop you. I'm in Florida and they stopped me twice in a month for having the blue LED windshield washer nozzles(can't have red or blue here, which I knew before I put them on the car, but w.e.) The cops let me go with a wanrning, the second cop made me remove them as he watched. He told me to put a switch on them and just turn em on in a parking lot. For some reason, he said blue underbody neons are legal. As long as the red or blue light isn't at eye-level from someone in another car. But sorry for getting off topic. IMO, clear always looks better than amber.

If your just trying to get rid of the egg effect, try purchasing some Philips Silver Vision bulbs, which are silver to look at but blink amber.

Those are sweet, expensive, but worth it. I would go clear. They are not legal in Cali, so when I had clear turns I had to have amber bulbs. The downside to clear bulbs is that if you traveled to other states, you might have to switch them out, but thats bout it. -------------------- ![]() psalm 69 |

Sylvania has a silver star bulb that is the same - looks clear, lights amber.
My brothers car wouldn't pass inspection with a hyper white bulb in the sidemarker.. don't know about the corner light. -------------------- If anyone needs interior stuff, etc, I'm parting whats left of my celi out. Just ask.
