It was 1:30 tonight and I called the local pizza place to get some food. They had a special on a large one topping for $5, so I got that. Then the guy says that I had to order at least $7 worth of stuff or I couldn't have it delivered. So I said, "heck, I'll come get it." The guy has my address, so he knows where I live. When I got there, he says, "Dang, you got here fast." I say,” I’m hungry." Then he says, "Do you want a job driving for me?" Currently, I'm working at Wendy’s, and it sucks because I'm actually a hard worker, so all the lazy people who work there exploit me and make me do everything. So I said, "Yeah, sure." He told me fill out an application and come back on Friday and we'd get everything straitened out. I just thought it was kind of funny. First, and probably last, time my driving fast is going to make me money.

I think anything will be better than Wendy's. I just feel like a jerk quitting to early on them. I haven't worked there every long at all. Actually, I've worked there 2 days, as of now. I've got work at 5 this evening though, that'll make 3 days.

You make good money delivering pizza. I would suggest not delivering in the celi tho. Delivering puts a LOT of miles on your car really quick. There is also a big risk of messing your car up since you will be driving so much. Take me for instance, I hit a deer and it cost me $3000 to fix. But hey it beats Wendys!! You just have to be careful.

I'm 20. I'm a Junior college student on my way to a Doctorate of Psychology, and I need to make some extra money. I had a chance to take an internship working in at a Crisis Center, but I had to take summer classes because I'm a transfer student and I needed to catch up a little bit. I had a job like this when I was 16 too. No job is beneath someone wanting to make money. It humbles you, and for some people, this is needed.

I don't really have a choice of not driving the Celica. That's okay though. This is a really safe nice car, and I'm confident that nothing will happen. I don't have any wrecks on my record. I consider myself to be a very safe driver. If something happens, I will fix it. If the engine breaks (which I doubt it will), I will put a 3s in.

This is a college town, and everything shuts down in the summer so there aren't many jobs available. And didn't I explain my situation to you already? And obviously, I've now found the job of pizza delivery. I'd like to see you come here and find something better with what I was given. Your what I was talking about that needs humbled. What job should I have gotten? Do you have any idea how it works for a college student finding a job for the 2nd half of summer?

I'll back you up on that, it is really hard to find a good, flexible part-time job in a college town. At the beginning of this year, it took me a month to find a job and I got that one right off the bat, first interview. It was more of a "when can you start?"

Knoxville's big, so there are a lot of serving jobs here, but if you're in a small JuCo town, there's probably not going to be many job openings, imo.
