Well for those who say it - Wow.

Johnny Depp is amazing. Watch Pirates two hours before seeing this and then watch Charlie. Two different people I tell ya. His acting is perfect.

All in all, I liked this movie. And I was holding it up to a high bar as I loved Wonka. Charlie was fantastic and everyone should see it.

"That was amazing... the middle was a little doggy, but that finale... WOW!"

... I dont want to go and see it, Tim Burton, whom I respect greatly, ruined a classic. and Johnny Depp's character is nothing more then Micheal Jackson.

Ruined a classic? If you're referring to 'a classic' as the previous film, you're sorely mistaken. That 'classic' you refer to is a weak interpretation of Dahl's books. This film follows them MUCH more closely.

I still haven't seen it. Hopefully tonight I'll go with the b/f. I really want to see it because the original is great regardless and I'm curious to see how the remake is.

I have to admit Depp is freaking awesome in the movie. Compared to his character in Pirates, it's totally two completely different person. Which not alot of actors can do that.

wedding crashers wasnt as good as i htought it would be... it was missing something.... ahh i know, Ben Stiller.

both actors just arnt meant to be lead characters, thats the only problem. dodgeball was good cause ben stiller carried the movie all the way through and his comedy owns.

cmon, you could kinda see some of MJ in Depp's Wonka, the repressed childhood and the childish attitude.

that said, i thought it was great, it was funny and depp's acting was perfect for the part.

im sure PETA got in a fit over the whipped cream part, heh

and the oompa loompas really sucked, it was all the same guy just copy and pasted all over. i missed the midgets with the orange face and green hair.

oh and count dooku is wonka's dad, LOL. and where is his house and how the hell did it get all the way in the middle of timbuktoo.

it was entertaining...but i wouldnt buy the dvd. im glad i saw it at the $3 theatre. i prolly would have been mad if i paid the regular $10.
