Hey guys, I just bought a new Pocket PC and I'm going to use it in the car for GPS. I was wondering where you guys mounted yours if you have it or where you think you'd mount it if you had one. I saw a bunch of stuff for the windshield but I prefer it to have a more factory look. Anyone have any suggestions?

So far the windshield mount looks like it'll be the best way, but i'm thinking I can make a bracket on the right side of the center console to hold the pocket pc. My only concern is when I don't put the pocket pc there, it'll look really bad. I was thinking about putting it in the place of the ash tray too, but I think it'll be too dangerous if I'm looking down to plot a trip or re-route something.

I was reading reviews and I sell gps stuff at compusa too, the best bet is probably microsoft streets and trips 2005 with gps locator. All you gotta do to make it work with a handheld is buy an adapter, either bluetooth or compact flash if your handheld will take it, it will work. Since Pharos makes the gps locator, they also make the adapters for it and they're somewhat well priced. The other systems are more expensive and don't offer the extra features the microsoft one offers. Also, there's no monthly fee for these types of gps, but you have to update ur maps at least every year. Oh yea, if you have a pda running on the Palm OS, you'll have to get a GPS system that supports that.
