I had been on a one week roadtrip with a friend and we were driving home actually.. Had been driving about 350 kilometers and stopped to eat. Done eating and got back into the car. Drove for like 30 minutes and was doing about 50 mph. Right hand corner and right rear wheel got into a pothole. Car jumped up from the hole and lost traction and flew head on into the gutter on the left side of the road. Car flipped up and around rear end first and flew up in the air and a good 20 feet(10 meters) out from the gutter, then landed on the rear end and plowed the ground. Stopped a bit further away on the roof.

Car status: totaled!

3 of 4 headlights ok. Driver side rear panel ok, all other panels and exterior completely smashed to pieces. Rear axle is broken in half. Engine seems ok, but is all messed up (it's kinda not facing the direction it should anymore).

Roof is smashed, hood is smashed, trunk is smashed. Front window broken, but intact. Right hand windows gone (shattered when we got out of the car). Rear window is all gone from impact. Left hand windows are ok, but a bit dirty tongue.gif

The interior of the car is like brand new.. Crazy, but true. I don't get to keep anything anyway though, so I kinda don't care.

2 people in the car and only damage was the burn damage from the cars safety buckle (spelling?).

4 brand new Rockford Fosgate speakers in the trunk (was going home to install) are all ok, and about 2 000$ worth of authentic Final Fantasy (japanese rpg stuff) are mostly scratched and dirty, but seems ok. 50 other cds and minor stuff are 97% ok. One kinda broken, but working cellphone and the other one is still ok.

We got a few pictures, but they were all taken in complete darkness so nothing much to see. I will post them as soon as I get them from my friend (his camera).

Haven't hear from insurrance yet but hopefully I will get a complete refund for the car (about 18 000$). My bonus is of course going down the drain, but who cares. We are both ok and that's the important thing.

Not sure what car to get next time.. I will have to take a shower and a good night sleep before I think more about this. All this happened less then 24 hours ago, so I'm still kinda messed up inside my head.

You should feel safe. The guys driving behind us saw the entire thing and they were 100% sure that whoever was in my car would be dead. And the entire scene looked like right out of a Hollywood movie smile.gif

Felt nothing inside the car though.

Glad everyone is alright. They have GT-Fours in Norway. As far as what type of car to get next, I don't think there should be much of a decision to make.

We do have GT-Fours.. I have been wanting one for a while, and now that I got "rid of" my old Celica I can probably start to look for one. I wanted the Supra, but after thinking ALOT Supra vs GT-Four I can say that the Four scores on a few important points.. Atleast after this crash. Four wheel drive and made for the harsh conditions and winters up here.. The GT-Four wins.

I just have to find one for sale, and see how much money I get back from insurrance. Also my insurrance bonus is gone, so the insurrance on a GT-Four would kill me in a heartbeat, I'm sure.

Secret of Mana (Playstation version, Japanese), Chrono Trigger (Playstation version, Japanese), Final Fantasy I, II, IV, V, VI, VII and X-2 (Playstation and PS2 for X-2). I already have FF VIII for Playstation.. And I have X for PS2 and XI for PC (online thingy). I also got Original soundtrack CDs for ALL those games (Japanese of course). I got FF Tactics (for Playstation, Japanese).. Can't think of anything else atm, but some of those games are pretty rare outside Asia.. And the last thing the seller said was "take really good care of those, because I'm not even sure I want to sell them". He did though, and the first thing I do is mess them all up. They are still in their original package with plastic around (atleast before the crash)...

Does any of you UK people think this is a ripoff? I mean, there is got to be something wrong with the car:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...4564730927&rd=1

6 300£ for a 95' GT-Four with 65 000 miles.. Or 5 300£ with a broken wastegate (he say a new turbo/wastegate is coming in any time now from Texas and he will sell it with car for another 1 000£), but that is still really, really cheap in my book. (as stated I'm probably getting almost 18 000$ for my crashed car from insurrance).

It's kinda old, and the milage is a bit higher than my previous 99'.. I really want a "new" one.. 98' or 99' with A/C, leather seats and low milage. And a decent color. As stock as possible (for registration purposes).. And 18" rims are just stupid imo.
