Ok, here's what has been confirmed: I have the 6 speaker system with factory a single factory amp.

Unless someone can come up with a part number and where to buy the plug and play harness that bypasses the factory amp in lieu of the internal amp in the head unit, I'm going to go the route of an aftermarket amp. I would PREFER to stick with the head unit amp for now, but can't find the harness anywhere. That said.....

I know how to wire aftermarket amps. What I'm fuzzy on is if I'll be able to to take the 87+ Toyota harness readily available everywhere and use that in conjunction with the aftermarket amp to set everything up, WITHOUT cutting the factory harness.

Thanks everyone.

You say you want to use the headunit's amp, right? You just need the 87+ Toyota wiring harness to hook up to the headunit. You should be able to find it at a car audio store in your area. If you're having trouble finding one, I know my friend sells one at his audio shop for $12.99 if you want me to get you one. You just unplug the wiring from the amp and hook it up to the harness, which bypasses the stock amp and uses the one in the headunit.

OOOOOOOOOooooooohhhhhhhhhhh!!! I see now. I thought that there was a special harness that you needed if you wanted to bypass the factory amp. Well shoot, I may hold off on the aftermarket 4 channel amp for the time being then. Thanks!
