I ordered a short shifter from TWM Performance almost 2 weeks ago and i havent got S**T yet! I was wondering if anyone else has ordered a shifter from them? If so how long did it take for you to get it? Was it worth the wait? And was this a good move or should i have gotten the TRD short shifter??

buying both are bad moves. you can take your own shifter and make into a short shifter. i did it to my shifter and it works great. ill be posting a how to on it within the next few days

You didn't just cut off the top of your stock shifter, did you? If so, that doesn't shorten the throw. It only shortens the height of the shifter. wink.gif

no i didnt cut the top of it off, well i did and i shortened it too on the top, but i also lengthened the bottom also, which makes it a shorter throw

I bought a TRD short shifter a year ago. It was the exact same damn thing that came stnadard, except the stick was short. I was F$$$ing pissed about spending that much for a shorter stick.

If thats the case then coomer, the TRD short shifter is a POS and no one should buy it

Are you positive that was the only difference? I always thought that maybe what the short shifter was lacking in the stick height was made up for on the bottom of the stick assembly, giving you more leverage between shifts.

the TRD QUICKSHIFTER is a complete assembaly where the TWM is just the stick..as for cutting your own...i dont reccomend it. but hey, its your car do whatever you want to do...lol
i got the TRD quickshifter, i love it, MUCH tighter feel, shorter throw, not to mention it comes with a sweet TRD knob....its really not much shorter than the stock unit, but its not meant to be. the THROW is whats shorter, not the actual stick. if it was much shorter, it would defeat the whole purpose of what a shortshifter was for...to make quicker shifts, and get your hands back on the wheel... biggrin.gif

there is nothing wrong with making your own quick shifter, it just takes about 2 or 3 hours of your time, and you get a 2 in one bonus, a shorter throw on top and bottom.
