Slow, what's the deal? Something like that takes hard work. Anyone can turbo or swap or spray, as seen by many of the cars here. How many do you know with headlight conversions?

I see too many headlight conversions. And boosting an engine isnt as easy as you think. If you wanna see headlight conversions, check out cardomain.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

I personally wouldn't do any type of head/tail light conversion on my car because like i said in the post about customizing tail lights I love the look of the 6gc and what not. BUT WOW i have to say it does look nice, and of course I give props to anyone who does custom work like that. Can’t wait to see your car done Sound smile.gif

and Slow, ignorant comments like that are why the mods have to around editing everything. I am aware that people are entitled to their opinions, but in my opinion you are just being rude, and its unnecessary. smile.gif

See, I feel as if we should be able to openly speak our minds. It kinda kills me how when I was putting nitrous on my 6gc, I just got flamed. People said I was cheating, gonna blow up my engine, I was dumb for doing it, ect. No mod stepped in when the Slow-bashing took place. And when I express my discuss with mods like this, my posts are erased.

There once was a gov that tried to stop people from speaking freely and just picked off the nay-sayers. Cuba, communism, there's a bunch, just pick one. But I feel like that's what's going on around here.

Sorry for derailing your topic soundslut.

If I remember right, you're 3s swapped and you're one of the only people to run ur 3s at the track and bring us numbers. Thanks for doing that, cuz afterall, whats the point in boosting a race and not racing it?

I'm all for freedom of speech but it should be done in a civil, well-mannered way. I think Slow you say alot just to piss ppl off and after awhile nobody cares what you have to say because nobody respects you. Thats not a personal attack thats just an opinion. Its hard hearing criticism on things you devote so much time & effort to, especially when your real proud of it. Its not expected that everyone likes it but sometimes its just not necessary to say so.

Anyways, I dont wanna go off tangent too much. I think those headlights flow well with the rest of the car, its original, and well-thoughtout.

Still wont be refeatured tho. wink.gif

I agree that we should be able to freely speak on the site, I just don’t agree with the way you go about doing it. It’s just my opinion. I didn’t participate in the “Slow-bashing” I don’t agree with that either. People are free to do what they want with their cars, I doubt that 100% of the members will ever agree with the choices some of us make, but that doesn’t matter, its your Celica, you do what you want to it regardless of what everyone else thinks or says.

Back on subject: SoundSlut when do you think she’ll be done?

That was the first thing i thought off when driving home my Celica when i bought it. We came in one car and left with 2 from de dealer. Let my buddy drive the first 20 miles home. It was dark and when the celica (with stock lights) is behind you you can mistake it for a older porsche smile.gif

@Soundslut: Where do you have your money tree. Maybe i can "harvest" some money off it smile.gif

If you look close enough u could see the precise shapes of the lights.

In the front the Porsche 911 (996 model) headlights and in the back S2000.
Right SS???

Wow, big props on the customization, I am not entirely too fonde of the way it looks now but said and done it should be something totally different.

I was wondering how much father are you gonna go with her? I ask because Taillights/headlights conversion's automaticly throw you into the Wild class at HIN and such and what more your going todo to compete?

i love that you modded your car, it will look sweet, i must say that I do not like Porshe lights because they seem to be missing something. Im a designer and by nature those 90 degree angles on the inside parts of them are lacking, its a gestalt principle. I guess i just think that there needs to be something like an opening in the bumper similar to the gt4 to bring the eye fully around the front of the car rather than abruptly halting it at the headlights, lemme get a pic up to show you what i mean. But that is just what i think, no matter what it will look good.!
