If you have the JDM tails with JDM harness you will need 7440/7443 bulbs.

also my trunk light wasn't a 194. it was some strange 1 + 1/8 inch festoon (maybe an oddity of the 99gt?).
got a 1+1/4 inch and, like everything else that hasn't quite fit, i filed it down. |

7440 for the turn signals if you have the JDM tail light harness. 1156 if you have the USDM harness.

The BA9 globes which are LED won't help, as the light is being emitted perpendicular to the globe socket. Been there, done that. And I don't think you will want HID unless you rewire your interior lights to be taken from the battery, and want to feel quite warm each time you have the light on. ![]() -------------------- www.tangcla.com - photography

also, for me as im in new zealand, it is easier to buy aftermarket lights via ...
Low beam bulbs: H1 High beam bulbs: HB3 Then you dont need a harness or convertor plug, as it is the same type of bulb as your factory. i.e I have got HID Xenon 8000k installed in both my lows and my highs, and they are the same type of bulbs of my factory, so all I had to do was plug the ballast amplifier thingy straight into my factory plug... easy as that. |

For the record, the trunk light is not a 194. It is a wierd looking bulb. I have this type of bulb in my 95.
I have one lowsy 194 LED and nowhere to use it ![]() -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

Just out of curiosity (I'm fairly new to the celica modding scene), has anybody ordered and used the Xenon 9006/9005 headlights off ebay or wherever that supposedly plug straight into your factory wiring w/o modification?
Put short: should I buy these things and get a brighter beam or no? -------------------- "He won't come out of the bathroom. He keeps telling us we're dark somethings and not his friends."
"Hmm. Ask him if he's the dragon reborn." "What?" "Just do it." ".......He said yes." "Tell him you are not darklings. He should open up." ".......Sweet. Thanks." "No problem." |

Put short: should I buy these things and get a brighter beam or no? they aren't true Xenon. They are just lookalikes. They plug straight in, however I would recommend you purchase Sylvania Silverstars. Much better quality than anything you'll get from eBay. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

I've used those eBay ones before on an old school Pathfinder I had once... I liked them okay, personally found they worked GREAT in the summer in dry weather but really didn't do much for rainy weather as far as visibility went. Plus people flashed me all the time.
The Silver Stars are way better quality lighting IMHO, they provide a truer, more genuine white light as opposed to the kind of fake blue light the eBay ones give off. They cost a little more, but you can find them on sale often times, I think there's even a rebate for them right now. -------------------- ![]() |

What about for the lighting on the JDM projectors....specifically the parking bulb light....and the JDM tails?
*(parking bulb...just use the 194 bulb socket from the USA tail light = need to cut loom with adapter and splice with side markers to work; fits perfectly) -808celica....did you ever find out what would replace the 293 bulb? *(Map light uses: B9As bulbs) This post has been edited by chacha: Mar 26, 2011 - 1:35 PM |

most fog lights are H3. I would not think toyota would change it during the same years at least. However the first matrix came out with 9006 fog light bulbs which are basically low beam type bulbs but that has been the only ones I have seen to have used it. Every other car uses h3, a standard fog bulb.

its not really a bulb its a bulb with a socket harness 1 piece, unless you decide to used LED, you can reuse the socket piece and just replace the bulb.
