I cant get it off... The mechanics obviously had their hands over every inch of the engine, I just mainly wanna get the grease, grime thats laid into the throttle body, and valve cover... i've tried everything but power washing...

I would not recomend using a powerwasher to clean your engine because that high pressure of water being sprayed around all the electronics in your engine bay can cause some undesirable results.

lagos is right.....spray wd-40 over the area and leave it for 15-20 mins...
or you can use coca cola...... then rinse them off with a hose...... *bling* -------------------- ![]() 312whp with more to come.... |

citrus-based degreaser -- it won't eat your rubber and plastics the way a petroleum degreaser will. Just don't let it sit on polished or anodized aluminum -- it'll etch.

WD-40 Worked very well for me. Left everything looking shiny too... kinda like wax.

use carborator cleanor on a rag. It destroys grease. (just don't get it on paint.)

simple green will only work so well, then you need some carb cleaner or somethin. My engine compartment was just covered in oil and whatnot, looked black til i cleaned it up a bit. the valve cover is as clean as simple green can get it, and i've just been too lazy to go buy another product to clean it.
