Found a ST185 clip for sale, need to know what to look for Options

I came across the add, Celica Clip pretty vague but hey ill see if it pawns out which it did, so I call ask some questions and this is what he came back with.

1992 Alltrac clip
40k
New or rebuilt turbo
no sheet metal
uncut harness
no dash / most interior gone

This is what hes telling me, that he has a MR2 that he was gonna swap this into. Is it just me but wouldent a mr2 clip be 10x easyer? or is he just a idiot, also come to find out that his MR2 has 350k which is basicly rule of totaled unibodys just face to much stress after 300k, so is this guy just stupid?

Is this even worth looking at? and if so what all should I look for? spoused to call him around 5ish today (september 12th) so if I could get some answer before then would be nice.
