I know that in the parts database the is a fuel rail that is said to be for the 7AFE, but I cannot find it ANYWHERE.
Even if it is not an OBX I need a fuel rail, preferrably one with a -6 fuel inlet, is there an one that anyone knows of or even one that would interchange off anything else? -------------------- If anyone is missing NASCAR and it's not on Speed Channel, take a fistful of Skittles, throw them in the toilet and hit the flush handle. why? are you going to be making that much power? Just upgrade your fuel pump and be happy.
What cc are the injectors you are trying to use? |

I have some pictures of the engine although it is taken apart right now because I'm getting ready for my new turbo, I'll post some pictures tonight when I get home.ALOT of the engine is taken apart because I am powder coating my intake manifold and valve cover black, but I will post what I have. I am also going to change out the pictures in my profile.
thanks for the help I will give them a call later and see what I can find out over the fuel rail. Also, is the 4AG better if I cannot get a hold of the OBX? -------------------- If anyone is missing NASCAR and it's not on Speed Channel, take a fistful of Skittles, throw them in the toilet and hit the flush handle. O.K. I guess my only shot(s) is to find a 7A fuel rail or hopefully have one made.
Also if you can get a hold of the rail and do a GB I am not going to have my car out again til about 3-4 weeks, but I am definetaly in if there is a GB. -------------------- If anyone is missing NASCAR and it's not on Speed Channel, take a fistful of Skittles, throw them in the toilet and hit the flush handle. if your doing a 7afte
#1)t28 turbocharger...not a good selection really #2)aeromotive boost dependant Fuel pressure regulator why are you going to be using this ^^^ to control your fuel if you have an safc2? #3)a 65mm wastegate is rediculous for this application, a 38mm would be more fitting..... |

And, I know alot of this IS overkill for a 7AFE but I am planning on building a 4AG head and installing it as soon as I have the time, funding, and parts to do so. Basically I'm just trying to get as much as I can so that I can support whatever other modifications may come in the future. I really do appreciate all the help I have recievd from this forum and all it's members, so if I am doing something terribly wrong on my buildup please feel free to tell me. -------------------- If anyone is missing NASCAR and it's not on Speed Channel, take a fistful of Skittles, throw them in the toilet and hit the flush handle. yes i do realize the function of an safc....but you should read up more on the safc2 and that you don't add fuel randomly......(it does read boost FYI in bar).....and you tune it via RMP points and a lean rich stoich discretion.....you really don't need a FMU and an SAFC |

What boost numbers are you looking for? Is this a stock 7a engine? if so, a fuel rail is the last thing you need to worry about.

I plan to run MAX 10-12 PSI but I do want to have everything done right so that I don't have to do it later.

Well because it is a GT series it will be alot more efficient and react quicker than a "t" series turbo, And also it will spool alot quicker than a plain T3/T4 because of the dual ball-bearings.
So this should spool quicker and have more of a useful powerband I don't really know where it will START to spool but I'm sure it will be sooner than 3800+ RPM This post has been edited by dans_st: Sep 16, 2005 - 9:24 PM -------------------- If anyone is missing NASCAR and it's not on Speed Channel, take a fistful of Skittles, throw them in the toilet and hit the flush handle. ok to me it really sounds like your just using tons of guess work here...
you should really go over to the stickies and click on the 7afte turbo right up i did..... have you done a compressor map on it? read how a turbo works? do you know how much air your motor moves? all stuff you need to know |

I'm not trying to act as though I know EVERYTHING and I apologize if I did.
Yes I have checked the compresspr map I have read the book(s) I've seen recomended here, I have read the stickies , I have read alot of these posts, and books, and talked to alot of people that have been doing turbocharging for years. AND- I know I still don't know it all From all of the research I have done this should be a very complete and efficiant turbo setup. I don't have any dyno results to prove it was a good setup, but hopefully I will soon(2-3 weeks). so basically I don't know for sure but I am doing the best I can, and trying to learn as much as possible- from as many sources as possible, and do do regard you guys on this forum one of my top sources because you have the same car I do and your going out there and have done these things already BASICALLY I am making some guesses... but they are educated guesses, and I am trying to use the best products I canand trying to get the most power I will just have to see what my car does once on the dyno... Once again I'm sorry if I seemed as though I thought I knew everything, BUT I do know alot-maybe not as much as you guys but I do know quite a bit. I have a ZOOM clutch it's O.K., but I do plan on replaceing it--I'm looking at the centerforce.
I wanted a clutchmasters or EXEDY but I don't know if they even make one. Also Hopefully I'll have in all the rest of my parts this Friday, and if I get time to put it together it will be running in about 2 weeks. It would have been done sooner but I aqm helping my friend swap and boost a B18C1 into his civic hatch.... I'll keep you guys posted -------------------- If anyone is missing NASCAR and it's not on Speed Channel, take a fistful of Skittles, throw them in the toilet and hit the flush handle.
