1993 Celica is HALF of what my 96 Costs. On 2 insurance companies, I put in the 96, Its skyrocketed, 200 a month for full coverage with NO tickets/accidents..A 2000 TRANS AM is 220 a month, a 93 Celica is 110 a month..This is all full coverage. Does our car make that big of a difference?

okey a few things to consider 1) 6gc's are rarer and has a higher value than 5gc's also your comparing a 9 yr old car to one thats 12yrs old
2) domestics are usually cheap on insurance since their value greatly deminishes even if its only for a few years

I pay £540 per year (about $900) for fully comprehensive (top level insurance in the UK) with all modifications declared, 5 years no claims bonus and a clean license on my 94 GT4. We get charged more for imported cars and a lot of companys wont insure us.

that is actually very cheap for what looks like a very comprehensive insurance package. my former celica worked out to be 800 a year with state farm with a clean record.

yeah health care is free out here, and college? no.. you have to pay for any schooling that is after high school. The only thing with our insurance is that when we get into an accident, if it's our fault, we have to pay our deductible and the other person's deductible (which is generally just $200) to get it fixed. So it's not horrible... but if you have dmg which is less than $200, then you just fix it yourself and don't go through autopac, and then it won't go on your drivers! smile.gif It's good out here... i like it.

our health care is still free too. but then slowly they are taking more and more away from the free health care package ><

college is relatively cheap since government subsidizes most of the costs.

er... wait so do you actually claim insurance if it's your fault?

over here... nobody wants to claim if it's your own fault even if it's a few hundred worth of damage cause then your rate will sky rocket... like... seriously sky rocket (~14-16k/yr for young male < 25) either that or no1 will insure you

Getting older has it's benefits... insurance just dropped $400 a year b/c they took off inexperienced driver surcharge....

97 Celica ST $106/6 months
05 Rsx-S $1300/6 months and worth every penny

20 years old... one claim under uninsured motorist...some guy decided to go over an embankment and almost total the celi... oh, and no tickets smile.gif

^ eh, state farm just payed out a big chuck of money for wrongfully re-selling water damaged cars.

I use to have 1200 every 6, but my insurence bent me over a table and upped it to 1700 for no reason, and I have yet to get them on the phone to ask why.

I have full coverage minus colision if I'm at fault.
