So, a long time ago some cats took refuge in our barn and started crankin' out little kittens like none other. Well, this last batch we are giving away. I put an ad on Craigslist and get rid of a bunch. Then I get this one random E-Mail.. It went something like this...

please get your cat spayed! there are enough kittens in the world in need of homes (as you can see from craig's list)

Now really... what is it that makes people feel as though EVERYTHING on this damn planet is their business?

If you really cared maybe you would get the things spayed. Seriously, if you don't get rid of all of them to good homes, there's a good chance they'll die or half to live in the wild. Are you really going to take care of all that don't get adobted? Maybe the lady could have been nicer about it, but it's really the responsable thing to do something. And when animals are being harmed, it's peoples business. Sorry.

All of the cats that live at my house are taken care of, we feed and water all of them, they just dont live/go inside and would be just peachy without human contact. We have already had 3 of the 6 spayed, but getting an animal fixed is not free, nor cheap, so, like I told the lady, if you want them spayed send me your money.

Also, it isn't her business unless she knows or has reason to suspect that the animals are being hurt/killed/abused, but since she doesn't know how well we treat them then she has no right, nor do you.

Then why do you post it? You make it my business when you post it and tell me about it. You're just mad that I don't share your opinion. You were trying to make it all our business on this site, wanting us to send her hate mail. I'm just telling you my opinion on the matter. Like I said before, I'm sorry, but I feel if you want to keep the cats, you need to be responsable enough to get them all spayed. You can't haff way take care of animals, it's a commitment. So please, get rid of all you can't afford.

There are charities that can get all of your cats spayed for little or no cost. JFYI.

Not to be an ass but do you all realize how hard it is to catch wild cats? I live on a farm in the sticks and i always have other peoples barn cats coming here.....now just because they decide to live in my barn dosen't mean im gonna catch them all and spend a good $500 to get a bunch of cats spayed.....expecially if they're not mine..now don't get me wrong yes you should get them spayed but it's not as simple as you think...and when u get an email like that it's just sumbuddy complaining...if they want to do that fine but they can come out to the property and collect the animals themselves or give $$ and time to catch them all....barn cats are gonna happen....they are just like any other wild animal when they live out side. They find a safe place to live and stay there.

You make a very good point. It is hard to do this. I know, I grew up in the county too. We had animals running around like that all the time. But they happened because of people not doing anything about it in the first place, people not neutering or spaying them. Then I see these ragged hungry animals running around, and in dogs, forming packs and going after other animals. Someone has to do something. You can't just keep passing on the torch. I'm not saying that you should run around and get all the animals you can and get them fixed. I'm just saying if they are around your house, and you have the opportunity to do it, then you need to do it.

I say let nature balance itself...I think you should just import some coyoties to keep the cat population in check... Survival of the fittest you know.......keep the food chain in order....
