um.. yea can someone explain to me what it means when you insurance policy has something like... a $500 deductable? i don't really get it...

I don't know too much about insurance or their terms, but I have full coverage($72/month
 ) and there's a $500 deductible. In the case that you're in an accident and something happens to your car that will cost you more than $500 to fix, you give $500 to your insurance company and they'll pay for the rest. I think it's retarded since we're paying the insurance every month, but whatever. I would probably do the same in their shoes. So yeah. That's my understanding of what a deductible is.

then you pay for it
I always go with a $200 deductible... that way if you get into an accident it only costs you $200, and only like MAYBE a $10 increase on your ANNUAL payment, (less than a buck a month). way more worth it to me:P --------------------  |

yeah I took mine down to $100, it costs me like an extra $14 every 6 months lol so it's totally worth it
