They jimmy open your fuel door if it's cable release, or just open it if its not, stick a tube through the filler neck into the tank and syphon the gas into a container.

ive also heard sometimes theyll go so far as to puncture the gas tank directly and drain it. we live on a lake and a lot of the boats and jet skis were getting there gas stolen over the summer.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

I have a friend that had something like that happen to him. Only he had fun with it. =] He parked in an alley, and when he came back to his truck there were a couple of dumb-ass highschoolers syphoning his gas out. Only they weren't trying to save a few bucks by filling their SUV's, they were sniffing it. rolleyes.gif So my friend just snuck up behind them, and suddenly holds up his lighter close to their face and is all, "mind if I light up?" They freaked SO BAD. I'm sure having a gasoline high didn't help them run any faster though. lol biggrin.gif

I dont think anyone could get away with Diesel, because it smells and looks different than gasoline.

Sugar only works to the point that it will eat a hole through your tank/fuel lines and leave you screwed on the side of the freeway (did this to my brother.. twas a good time)

Diesal doesn't hurt anything. Trust me, my girlfriend has done this a cuple of times. Don't ask me how hard it is to see that the pump says "DIESAL." Makes the car run like crap though, and it won't run if there's no regular gas in it. Just drain it, and it'll run agian fine.

correct, people assume that diesel will destroy a gasoline engine because gasoline will damage a diesel engine. its not both ways. although running a gasoline engine on diesel fuel will cause it to run horribly, it will not cause severe engine knock and failure as gasoline in a diesel will.
