I came across a good deal on a 93 n/a mr2. So I put the celica up for sale. It was amazing how easy it was to sell. It sold in two days and I barely even advertised it. Just rode around with a for sale sign. Time to have fun with the mr2 though smile.gif I love the t-tops.

And the mr2, Chrome rims will be taken off shortly, I ordered some 17x8 and 17x9 gloss black rims with a nice polished lip.

I would rather go for the old school MR2. Cause you can fit a 20V in there.........and its so much lighter.

thats a nice looking mr2... good job. just be VERY carefull driving it. almost everyone spins them out the 1st year they own them, so take the time to learn the car. its not as forgiving as the celica.

Yeah, your RR cars really lose it when sliding. It's not like a FR with understeer, or a FF with understeer. It's just gone. It is controllable though, but they'll never made good drift cars.

If I could keep both I would. Before I got the celica I always wanted an mr2 and when the time came up I couldnt pass it up. I will get another celica and go all out with it in a few years. Right now I want the mr2 lol. I'll still lurk around these boards as I always do.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

I'm around Celicas and MR2's constantly with the Toyota club I'm in and for some unexplainable reason the MR2's are problematic even with the same engines. The Celicas are always more reliable and last longer.
I think it has something to do with the reason people buy the car and the way they drive them. People buy MR2's to drive fast and tear up the road - people buy Celicas for a variety of reasons so it's pretty easy to pick up someones old grocery getting car that was babied.
My firends Turbo MR2 is has a blown motor with less miles than my 75K which runs beautifully - go figure - one owner Garage kept weekend car. But you have to figure when you only take your fast car out on the weekends my tendency would be to drive it hard.

Only the Turbo ones and only by around 100#'s. The N/a's like his are actually like a 100#'s lighter.
BTW - That color is rare - out of 30+ MR2's In HTC only one of them is that grey/silver color.

i really like mr2 turbo. but i bought an celica instead because of the two seater. they are fast and easy to tune. but the insureance is too high because it's a two seater and turbo. yeah you guys are rite celica are more liable than mr2. I hear it harder to change put within the engine and have a lot of electrical problem.

alright u traitor lol, i was thinking about doing this selling my celica for MR2, but i thought celica is a rare and special look (around here it is anyway) and adding to it will only make it better.
Some guy lives by me whos spent i think 20-30k on his MR2 in all shows mags etc. Hes on cardomain as top MR2. Its 5 tone, the works.
Good look they sell second hand turbos on ebay off MR2's inless you got the T-bar i cant tell.
Stardard celica 2.0 has 173 bhp MR2 has bhp 154 but MR2 is faster cos its lighter. (answerin question above) But you can mod a celica faster then a supra.
