NEW PICS AT THE BOTTOM
I have a silver Celica with silver rims and I want to know what color I should paint my calipers. I'm having trouble deciding between silver and blue. My rear drums will be painted black until I can get the GT rear setup and paint them the same color as the front brakes. What do you guys think? Here's a pic of my car:

EDIT: The blue actually look better in my mind than in photoshop. It'll actually be a darker blue. I painted the calipers on my friend's black tC and it came out real nice. I just don't know if it will on a silver car.

I would go with Silver. I've been trying to find one of those duplicolor kits in silver, but all I can ever find is red and yellow. I suppose I could just get some high temp spray paint but I dont want it to make a mess.

I did my silver ST's capilers silver...and I will probably do the same with my blue GT - silver.

Subtle is more of what I am after, not something that stands out too much.

I tried the duplicolor spray paint, started peeling. So i got that caliper kit like it way better because it has ceramic in it so it shines better. But i like blue and that silver, but depends on your accent color i think looks better like mine i painted mine red because my interior is red so i matched my calipers red.

VHT BRAKE CALIPER DRUM ROTOR PAINT is the sh!t. The first pic isn't photoshopped. I painted my driver's side caliper to see how it'd look and it came out real good. I used VHT red for my brother's tC. Came out awesome. Used VHT blue for my friend's tC. Awesome. And it came out awesome on mine too. They sell it at Autozone. Advance Auto only sold the Dupli-Color high-heat temp that Dustin was talking about. That's real good too tho. It's all the same crap tho. I mean, the only thing that changes is the temperature resistance. The Dupli-Color does like up to 1500°F, I think. The VHT I think is like 900°F. I just use the VHT because it's more specific to the calipers. But it's all the same crap. In reality, the dupli-color is probably better. I did like 3 coats of the base color and then like 3 coats of clear.
The Silver I used is to the left and the blue that the brakes would be is on the right. I'm really undecided about which one to go with so I'm waiting till tomorow to see how many votes there are and I'll paint it whatever color wins. Anyone have pics of silver celicas with blue calipers???

Thanks Dustin. wink.gif I'm gonna get around to using some of that when I get over this cold. *cough.* frown.gif

Please, if I could vote again I would....silver calipers looks so nice and clean on a silver car, trust me. It looks like you're rolling some brand-new brakes and looks really clean and subtle behind your wheels, unlike blue which just looks like you called up APC or something.....not that blue is always bad, just not my cup of tea on a silver Celica. wink.gif

If I had to choose it will be Silver.
Blue looks tacky in my opinion.
But I would've gone with Red as my first
preference then black like Driveby smile.gif

i painted mine black
but im going for a subtle, clean look on my car
i think if yuo do silver, its a wholleeee lotta silver on ur car, paint/rims and calipers... but i think blue stands out a lot unless you have other blue going on with your "theme" of the car...
anyways... my advice is go black..

My theme is silver and blue but the blue is in the interior. And most of the blue inside is at night like with the LEDs and stuff. The only blue you really see in the daytime is the 7th gen seats and my headunit. I'm probably going to go with silver just so it stands out a bit. I'm proud of my disc brakes. lol. I was going to go black but then i'm afraid i'll never go back. j/k. lol. seriously tho, i was just because they look clean all the time but it's rather have it stand out a bit. and it'd go with red but like dustin said, unless it says wilwood or brembo, i think im going to go with silver and see how it turns out. but aaaahh! im really curious as to how it would look like in blue but i really dont wnat to waste too much time with it. if only i had all the right tools! lol. but silver it'll be. and black on the drums. man, driveby, let me get those dual piston calipers and i'll definately keep em black. lol.

Just came across sum pics of the blue calipers I painted on my friends tC. Just to give you a better idea of the shade of blue, etc.
Wow, now it's really hard for me to make up my mind because they actually stand out less than red(My brother's calipers are red).

blue calipers look sick on silver cars. My buddy has a Neon R/T that he has silver n painted his caliper and drums blue with the duplicolour brush on caliper paint...looks sooo good.
