I'm looking to strip my interior, well not completely, just the rear seats and trunk but I'm wondering what it looks like. Odviously this mod isn't for looks but I am curious nonetheless.

Also any opinions on whether this is worth it or not are welcome. My goal is to reduce as much weight on my car and see what kind of times I can run with a midly modified 7a wink.gif

if its for your 1/4 mile time go for it, or if you never have back seat passengers then why not, power to you! But honda owners might be idiots and bag that you cant even afford a backseat... or some dumb stuff like that

I just finished stripping out most of my dash panels to install my remote start this weekend, but I think I'll take out my spare tire and backseat and definitely my subwoofer before I go to the track on wednesday. I'll be sure to take pics when I do it.

I do have pics of my torn apart dash though if you'd like those. wink.gif

*well my car is striped from half way- to back end....

*the reason I did this is because I removed the back seats and that's where

I'm going to put my Nitrous bottle; I've had it in trunk before but it was a pain

going to the trunk, opening it, turnin on the bottle, and then getting back in a car....

(the remote opener sux, never really closes it like it should, there is nothing like

opening your car in the morning to be full of laughing gas)

*Right now i have done custom plywood (beachwood) and carpeting where the seats were

and the bottle is gonna go between the two seats (middle part)...

that way I can just turn it on using my hand!!!!

*Going back to reducing the weight ---- well I would not strip down the car because

it's just bunch of plastic and seats are no more then 2 pounds....

-the only thing I would do is remove the spare tire and the jack.... everything else

is not worth it (if you need to lose those tiny 2 pounds then you should go work out

and lose some fat... LOL)

I'll post some pics with the custom carpeting and removall of the back seats...

and in about a week the relocation of Nitrous....

thanks for the replies all.

I'd appreciate any pics, but I'm sort of questioning if I should do it now. I figured since I hate it when people ride in the back seat I might as well strip it, but then again zigy has a point, 2 lbs isn't anything to make a fuss over. the back seats are easy enough to take out whenever I head to the track anyway.
