Ok, I had this problem for a while now and now I am getting really tired of it because it get's dark really soon now so I drive mostly at night. So here's whats up, the windshield has a bunch of little scratches in places were vipers go and no were else. I tried going to pep boyz and all but they cant do anything because the scratches are too little. So here's what I though we should do (thats if there is a lot of celica owners with this problem). If you do have this problem go to NHTSA and submit a complaint. If we get enough complaints NHTSA might make toyota to fix our windshileds as a recall.

Not gonna happen. Just pay the couple hundred for a new windshield and replace your wipers at least once a year like you're supposed to.

its because if you use the windshield washer to wash your windshield, the water dosent come out as fast as it should so you wipe the windshield with all that dirt, thats what makes the small scraches.. i think it is a recall.. but thats my option

this is a shot in the dark but i noticed i had a similar "blur" of fine scratches, especialy noticeable on a rainy night.

i put some rain-x on my windshield and replaced the wipers with "rain x" brand wipers. I've never seen a windshield clearer on a car that wasn't new in the lot.

I assume this is what cleared it but i guess the only way to find out for you is to try it. rain-x is a awsome product to use either way.

EDIT: bad english

whoever had the car before you never changed their wipers and the metal scraped the glass. same thing happened to my moms van and she had to buy a new windshield.
