Soooo I checked this out @ a local store....pretty nice! Thinking about getting it. Ive had my LG MM 535 slider since June....time for an upgrade wink.gif teehee!!

I know this is just a knock off of the Motorola Razor but I like this Blade phone BETTER! I never was a big fan of that big LIP on the Razor when its open bleh

Anyone tried this phone out??? It hasnt even been around for a month yet so I doubt it....if I get it Ill let you all know how I like it!

The internet is like 700 times faster than the older sprint phones...Woo!

I have both in stock at my job and there both pretty neat. I personally like the a920 better, but if your a razr fan then go with the A900. Either way you cant go wrong. I just like how the a920 looks since im not a razr fan. Oh, and btw, the external caller ID on the a900 is EXTREMLY small, which im not a fan of.

i like that a900, its not bad, I prefer my black razr better in terms of looks though. The camera on motorolla phones always suck though, and i dont really use the internet so i couldnt tell you how that goes, but everything else on the razr is great, I love this phone.

I guess you need to see the A900 in person to appreciate it tongue.gif

I like the simple flat design of the A900...BLACK & sleek & simple...perfect IMO biggrin.gif

sprint (not at this time that I know of) is doing phone trade in's, but go to your local radioshack or sprint store and they can set you up with a pretty nice phone for a decent price. They have the Samsung MM-8300 for $99, which is pretty decent, I had that phone before my a920.

the best plan (not sure if its available in other markets besides miami is 45.99/1000 minutes, unlimited nights and weekends and all the basics. Oh and the fair and flexable is just for when u go over ur minutes, instead of 40 cents a minute its $5 for ever 100 mins over ur alotted mins.

no way! the bottom part makes a good grip for ur palm because its thin everywhere else. and because it sticks out a lil bit, it catches ur voice better. and because the top is shorter than the bottom, you dont have this rediculous empty space above and below the screen. also when its closed, the screen half dissapears into the keypad half so its flat at the bottom.

user posted image

not to mention the flat and sexy chemically-etched keypad and pure blue electro-luminescence panel found in the verizon version. not the ugly greenish blue lighting in cingular and tmobile's, lol.

The nice thing about the razr is the thin"ness". Put it in your pocket and it's barely noticeable. Unlike those bigger phones that bulge... Hey... if I'm gonna bulge... it ain't gonna be no phone right?

Camel Toe? lololol

Get your hands on a razr and the A900 (just stop by any radioshack) and look at the 2 and compare features, the A900 RAPES the razr a new a$$hole. The screen is 10x nicer, more features and doesnt have that extra fat lip at the bottom. A900 - 1, RAZR - 0.

the 'beta' testing name was the blade, due to the name razr was already taken and copyrighted. But Sprint decided to have there genious marketing team change the name back to the A900. And honestly, the blade sounds like a cheap rip off

i hate the razr and the blade - if ur an avid text user then they are not good phones. i have a sidekick now and i like aspects of it but its definetly not my fave phone ive ever had.

in my opinion verizon comes out with the best phones. I think they will probably soon enough have a phone that you will be able to customize with any features u want. that will be fun! :-) im kinda over my new cell phone every 6 months because its just a phone. everyone has one. I used to like getting a new phone when they would come out to show off at school but im over with that. i just want a phone I can dial on and easily text.

verizon don't come out with the best phones. they take watever models that were released in the GSM market and convert them to CDMA putting on all these restrictions and stuff. if you want a rare phone. you'll need to get a GSM phone. import them over and ya be the one of the rare ones. like mine. white Sharp 903sh. biggrin.gif

I like verizons phones. out of all the carriers here in the US i have yet to find a better phone thru a different carrier! maybe thats cuz i had verizon from the age of 12 - 20 (back when it was airtouch) and i just switched to Tmobile for unlimited text. I was very displeased with the phones i saw at other carriers.

you gotta get a pic of your JDM phone and a JDM pose. lol but ya Cingular is always going to have the newest technology since they are GSM. Oh and dont tell anyone I told you, but Cingular has a new service coming out where you put your phone to a speaker that has music playing (any song) and it will send you a text message with the name of the song, the artist, and an option to buy the album. Oh and I didnt tell you guys about the new technology cingular is going to use for there new push to talk network (which is going to be faster than nextel)

Natalie...you have never even touched the A900 "blade" so you really cant say anything about it especially if its hard to text on or not tongue.gif lol

And another thing... my check has nothing to do w/ this topic but since you asked...I borrowed enough to cancel my second line & to get a new phone...but thats completely separate from the money I borrowed for bills. Besides you shouldnt really be pointing any fingers tongue.gif

Right now I'm typing this response, talking to 2 people on aim, in an aim chat room, and checking my email all at the same time on my sidekick. I love this thing. No need to connect to any WAP browser. Unlimited Data is constant-on like dsl cept its slow like 56k. (Just need to have regular phone reception). Also people can call without getting a busy (happened a lot when I use verizon's WAP), and when I hang up a call, I can resume everything where I left off without having to dial back into the service. tongue.gif

I would love to get a sidekick since I send 2500+ texts a month, but in my area their coverage BLOWS. And the phone doesn't have bluetooth. Because when it comes time to actually use that thing to make a phone call, it feels like your holding a brick up to your head.

Wired headsets are annoying.

And bluetooth adapters are bulky. It's a heavy little block attached by a string to your phone. Imagine your pockets with the Sidekick and a bluetooth adapter chillin in there..... not fun.

Don't get me wrong, it's a sweet phone and can do a ton of cool things that I like (aim, browse internet) but I do make a lot of calls and spend a lot of time talking, therefore I'd be sacrificing comfort and convenience.

well i mean if ur driving u could put it on the passenger's seat. or the in dash pocket. it doesnt neccessarily have to all be sitting in ur pocket. then all ull have on u is the headset. it does have a pretty long range.

but yea it is pretty bulky. i usually only carry it around to work or school. the rest of the time i leave it at home and just have my razr.

slim phones rawk!

I am still thinking about switching to Sprint - i like that phone too.

Ok well I'm definately going to look into Sprint. Fair & Flexible plan for $35 and that phone for maybe $200 and then sell my I850 Nextel for 150.

Ne body interested in a few months old I850?

Z800i .. not a bad phone. supports 3G although we don't have that available yet.. hopefully cingular launches the 3G network soon. our phones can't show their full potential without the 3g network lol

....well when u say service what do you mean, the reception? or the way they treat me? Or did u mean to say what kind of plan do I have?

I have Sprint

reception:
I get GREAT reception! Never lets me down...I drove from Portland OR to Anaheim CA last Aug & had service the entire time except for when we drove through the mountains. Lost it for a little bit there...but its the freakin mountains! lol so no complaints

my plan:
Im on a fair & flex plan I think I get 500 any time min but if I go over...no big deal (never go over anyway). My plan is like $60 a month but I signed up almost 4 years ago & I know options for new people change all the time (which im sure u know as well lol).... I have unlimited nights (starting @ 7pm to 7am) & unlimited weekends. unlimited text (for $10) unlimited web (for $10) hmmm & thats all I can think of for my plan biggrin.gif

cust service:
A++++++

They always treat me really good...if I use a feature for a month ie a sprint tv channel & I dont like it...I call & they refund me the cost for that month. They have even given me $100 credit towards getting a new phone before because i emailed them & complained that old customers dont ever get anything (untill after 18 months lol)

anyway....IMO....they are the best biggrin.gif ....

8 more min! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Well I just came from the cell phone place. I have nextel so theres no penalty to go to Sprint - plus the woman said she's almost positive I get the new plan cell phone price ($200) for the A900. Takes them a day or two to get the phone after I order it so on monday I'm going to go do this.

Anybody w/Nextel interested in buying a few months old i850?
