Looking at your profile pics, looks like you have done a lot of work to your Celica - new paint job, JDM lows and highs, tails; front and rear extensions. Are both cars the same color? They both look so new! You are making Toyota bling!! If you guys cruise together, there would be so much head turning, you would cause mad accidents.

When you see them side by side like that, it makes you realize just how close in size the two cars are.

Very nice pics smile.gif

Both cars are immaculate. What is the name of that color blue that you have? I really like your taste (extensions, skirts, headlights). Do you have anything else in store for this car?

By the way, you should update the pictures in your profile, it looks infinately better this way!

Thanks Celicav, means alot.

Muuhaha... biggrin.gif yeah, I like to think I modified my Celica tastefully (not too flashy), with a OEM look to it.

The Supra is Black and mine is the original OEM stock color (I forget what its called but someone did post the paint codes and I forgot it 4 minutes after I looked it up). The Supra has the original paint on it, my bro has his daily driver, so the Supra is used only when he wants to have fun. The person who painted my car spent a lot time making sure the paint looked perfect. When I saw his pervious work (~three years ago), I knew then there was nobody else I would trust to paint a car. He is a perfectionist.

Thanks Josh, appreciate the compliments. Yeah like I said, I went with a unique look, keeping the car looking as OEM as posssible. This board has been soley responsible for me finding the exact look/parts/part numbers I wanted/needed to make my vision become a reality.

The future is now smile.gif
I just recently found some OEM black leather seats in the junk yard, in GREAT condition! So those are going in this Christmas break, God willing. To bad they were '99 seats because the 94 front seat design is slightly different from the '99 (I am passionate with keeping the car as OEM as possible, can you tell? smile.gif ).

And I hate to say it, the last thing I plan to do is to upgrade my ST brakes to front and rear GT disc brakes. Then I think I will call it. Again, the knowlegde I been getting on this board for that conversion is priceless. Expect me to be hitting the brake boards with some questions.

The wheels are HP racing design wheels... I think the are R5s BUT I MY BE MISTAKEN.... man I cannot believe I forget.

Question ask by: cg97

Just thought this may benefit others with the same inquiries.

"yo, just looking at your taillights, u have a pic of them lite up? im interested to see what it looks like, just thinking how those would look on a lighter color vehicle? do you have any advice for a guy looking for different styles of headlights/tail lights of where i could search and look at different styles and etc..?"

-------------------------------------
Reply

Here ya go. I have a funny feeling this pic will open up the flood gates.
If you want to find some pics of the tails try keyword searching on the board for "Curren", or "Chris C". I have seen the Curren Tails on a silver car before posted on this board, they look impressive.

The lip on those wheels are sexy. I wish I could afford a new black paintjob, I'll have to live with the one I got though. Very clean looking. You should put a 4A blacktop in there, keep the black theme rolling.

Naaah, no tranny conversion laugh.gif The said thing about my car is if I start trying to make it go fast, it will. BUT it still wont be as fast as a Supra (I know most cars are not). My Celica is my NICE looking daily diver and I probably will look for a Supra of my own.

My brother's is a 6spd. IMO it does not really matter if you have a 6spd, or auto. With enough money you can make an auto go just as fast. My brother-in-law has a Supra as well (auto) and his car can run the quater mile in high 9s. So its do-able, if you have the right mechanics working on it.

But yeah, I thought about the 3SGTE swap... but then I just get depressed. Damn Supra.

Yeah, I own both manual and auto GTs at the moment, and it is hard to tell a difference as far as acceleration time...both have basic engine mods and pretty equal weight too. BUT the 5 Speed is more fun to drive for sure and that is the reason I just bought it a few months ago.

Thanks JoKeRk,
Yeah my wish was to compete with those sexy hatchbacks. Yeah I am pretty sure they are HP R5s... yeah that sounds right. Wow that was your car!!! When I saw that car I was a bit intimidated because those Tails looked so good with the silver. I was affraid the tails would not look as good with my OEM color. Thay still don't but I try. BTW: Love your Rims.

yea man. they look awesome with ur color. i feel ya. originally i wanted the hatch cuz it looked more like the supra. but im sure most people here with clean coupes agree that they look more freakin hot in person than in pics. cuz everytime i see a coupe online im like 'sh!t i wish i had the hatch'. but then i go outside and look at my car and it's like 'damn, that sh!t is hot'. lol. i might be getting the hp r5 in silver also when i get new tires cuz thats the ones i wanted originally. but i might just refurbish and repaint the ones i have now. they've kissed the curb a couple of times. lol. thats when i first got the celi tho. but yeah, you might want to consider this little mod for the curren tails. http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=27464&hl=
they look so much nicer. and im in the process of buying exterior and interior LEDs to change all the lights on my car to LED. it should be pretty cool. the lights in the tails are going to be LED too. should be nice. i'll post pics when it happens. LEDs can get a lil expensive when ur buying a lot. lol. but the clear curren tail light mod was easy.

Beautiful cars and pictures. smile.gif I like to see poeple keeping their cars as clean looking as possible.

Don't get too down about the 3SGTE though....you don't need 600HP like a Supra to make your Celica fun to drive, so I'm sure if you did swap that motor you'd be very happy with it. wink.gif
