Is your Ipod still attached to your computer or did it just freeze

If it froze just push the middle button and play at the same time(or maybe it's menu and the middle button… I can’t remember)

I don’t know what to tell you if it is still attached to your computer. Try to eject it on Itunes or something

it tells u how to reset it with the booklet that comes with it.

i think u ...put hold on, and then take hold off.....press menu and the middle button at the same time. then its reset.

you have to install all the itunes soflware 1st...and reboot the computer. then plug in the ipod after the computer has rebooted. im betting that u just connected it, and then unpluged it when it said "do not disconnect"

O-geeze. Well i have heard by a lot of people here that have ben getting i-pods took them back to get a diff MP3 player. They say that the I-pods really are not the best. My g/f got a nano MP3 yesterday for x-mas works awsome i love it. But i have heard from like 20 people already that they have had to send there ipods in because of them freezing.

Did you connect both iPods to one comp?? Because I think it only works one iPod per comp because wen I hooked up mine...then hooked up my bro's after it froze up my bro's. Everyone else is telling me it only works like that on their comps to.

People are probably putting on files that dont play in the player and treating it like crap. Make sure u stop the device before disconnecting and what not and make sure the files you put on their are supported by the ipod.

problem may have been solved already, but if not, I got a Video iPod for christmas to! Mine did the same thing when I tried to log onto my account after I had connected it. If it does that just press the middle button and menu button at the same time and hold it until it shuts off and you see the apple logo again. It works like a charm. wink.gif

Are you talking about itunes? If you are, then whenever I hook my ipod up to my computer itunes usually freezes up for about a min, then starts to sync. If you're talking about the actual ipod, then just hold the middle and menu button at the same time for about 6 seconds and it should reset.

...make sure that you don't have the lock switch on on the top. you have no idea how many ipods i've "unfrozen" by switching the little hold button over.

If it's still frozen, and you plug it into the computer, see if it shows up as another drive under my computer (pc). if it is, right click on it, go to properties and click to format it as fat32. that may fix it.

I dont load my itunes at all, when i plug the Ipod in, it loads itunes automatically...does take a second tho so be patient.

On top of that, I dislike how if you have itunes already open, you can "eject" the ipod to see what you did on there, but theres no way to connect the ipod back to Itunes if you wanna mess with it it again. If ne body knows more about this, please share.

disable that disk use function i told you about. it will auto unload you ipod, when its done updating, so that you can check stuff on it, but the ipod will still show up in itunes and u can always right click on it to get it to update again

Mine has a folder icon and an exclamation point. If anyone can help with that I'd love you. That's when I plug it into the computer. On top of that...it seems to disconnect itself a lot.

The Ipod has a folder icon, or the computer has a folder icon...

Your going to need to format the Ipod. You can do this by plugging it in and going to your Ipod folder(on your PC), and finding the tool in there. If you cant find it in your Programs do a search.
