For plug'n' Play; I'd suggest the Hydra Nemesis..
For 2nd and 3rd gen 3SGTEs http://www.carmodifications.com/ http://www.mrcontrols.com/products/nemesis.htm AEM also has an application for the 3SGTE http://www.aempower.com/product_ems.asp Both have support on various boards. Autronic is also popular, but not plug 'n play. Some people have made up connectors, to use stock wiring though. Big $$ for Moted; -full custom set up needed; but would do Everything ! The MRII baord www.mr2oc.com has a LOT more experience since they are have the most turbo cars in the US. Check out EFI101.com too... Look around at what local shops (A shop U TRUST; uses). Easier to find the hardware than it is support IMHO. Unless you want to fly out a tuner or are Fully competatnt on your own ? :-) A stand alone ECU should be higher up in the list of mods. It grows with future mods Quite easily. Regards; (back to lurking now:-) |

You should see if any shops in your area know how to tune with whatever fmu you choose. If you electrical work retarded like me, installing em and tuning em can be a pain

I`d use an Apexi PFC for a 3sgte engine....loads of maps and an easy set up, the comander gives clear and concise readings...the only problem is that it monitors "knock", but dosnt retard the timing if it does sense knock, it just flashes a little light at you.
The motec system is good aswell but a little harder to set up. |

I have a MicroTech Stand-alone that handles fuel, ignition, and it a total replacement of the stock ECU.
I am selling it for 600 which includes shipping. It includes the software to program the different fuel curves, etc... It is the microtech LTX-8 ECU. I am also including the tempature, non-restrictive air flow sensor, and external bosch coils for it. Let me know if you have questions. Shipping including only implicable to the continental US. Thanks, Ben |
