Well, I'm having the oil pump replaced this weekend, as well as timing belt, thermostat, and water pump while they're in there, as well some other things. My question is, does the oil pump require any special tools to put it back on correctly?

My question is, does the oil pump require any special tools to put it back on correctly? if you have all the tools for removal, chances are you have everything for the install as well. nothing really special needed. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

The other day when I called my mechanic (at his house) he told me he hasn't taken the oil pump off of one of these before and asked if me if I knew if it needed any special tool to line it back up because some imports need a special tool. He can figure it out when he goes to his shop, but he didn't know off the top of his head if any was needed or not...so I was just wondering. Thanks for replying:)
