I might be paranoid but. My car use to be dead silent. Couldn't tell it was even on.

Now it makes a none stop soft clicking noise. Not loud or anything. It sounds like a old VW Bug but much softer.

My friend told me it was normal and it was just the injectors clicking. But I've never hear them do it before. It just use to be a soft smooth sound. The car does have 160k on it but it only started around 158k i believe.

Any suggestions what I can do to check it out? New injectors? I sea floamed the ****ers still makes a noise. Had an awful smell from the exaust for about 24 hours, but that was after driving it a bit hard, even tho it never smells like that when I drive hard.

can you get this on video?

try to see if it makes the same noise on a cold start, or does it get louder after the motor warms up ? do you hear it inside the car while driving?

you can go to any car parts store and buy a car stethoscope for about 10bucks. then you can touch it to various parts of your motor (like your injectors) and that will help you pinpoint the location.

Oil Change, cleaned my Ram air Filter, Haven't changed my fuel filter but it still has a bit to go before it needs to be redone. I changed it like 3-4 months ago. I haven't check my plugs. I forgot when you need to replace them. Isn't it like after a year? They are NGKs so they should last pretty long. PCV valve i forgot when that goes, but it should be ok it think that was replaced last october.

Lagos:

Naw bro I can't hear it in the car. I have to get out and get about 10 inches from the hood being closedto hear it. Open you can hear it fine and dandy.

Im a fricken EMT. I got all that doctor **** down haha

I'll video it. I dono if it will make a difference tho.

its really hard to hear anything with all that wind noise in the background. i do kind of hear the injectors or the valves clicking away, but its nothing that i would say is out of the norm. the car has a 160k on it, so its bound to develop some sounds... i wouldnt worry about it. STs last forever!
