where do i find the paint code on my car? is it in the VIN number? i need some touch up paint, and dont know what my paint color is

If your looking for the paint code you have to look on the inside of the driver side door. You can give them the vin # or you can give them the paint code which is also on the under side of the hood. It will be a letter and two numbers. Also just a word of advice, I work at a paint shop so yeah, you best bet for exact match is to take the car with you because certain colors from manufacturers (sp) have different tints so it may be blue but be darker or lighter. most PPG suppliers have chips available for your use to see which is the right blue.
