I think the lighting ruin it for some of the photos  It is very hard to take good pictures at night, so I understand

Increase your shutter speed to maximum, and if needed, turn up the aperture (ie. lower the F-stop number). You will need a tripod for sure.

Go something crazy, like 4", 5", 15". The ones from my old car, the BMW photos, were like 25" with an F/16

I tried to do mine at sunset a while back... these are the best that came out (too dark). The last one is a little blurry but the light really shows off the curves.
