Recently, my voltage regulator, which is built into the alternator went bad and would drain my battery when parked. I bought a used alternator off of FAQdaWorld and had it installed. That solved the problem. The car worked great, and this was Friday when I picked it up.
Yesterday I pulled my car into my garage to detail the interior. I was wary about leaving my doors open and draining the battery because I've been having electrical problems, so I hooked up my battery charger to the car. While detailing the car, I had the key in the "ON" position because I wanted to listen to the stereo, and the car would beep in ACC with the doors open. After a while the stereo shut off. When the key is in "ACC" everything works fine inside. When I turn the key to "ON" the clock and dash lights dim. When I turn the key to "START" the starter clicks. I doubt the problem is the starter, because I just replaced it last month with a used one with a warranty. I even tried jump-starting the car, even though the battery seems fine and holds a charge. I pulled a few important fuses and all seems fine. Thanks, Alex Cutrara -------------------- |

I'm having a similar problem with my starter. Does the car eventually start if you keep turning the key? (try turning it several clicks) You may want to try that while you have the battery hooked up to keep from completely draining the battery. If it does eventually start, it may have something to do with the starter contacts. I'm going saturday to have mine worked on.
But mine just suddenly started doing that one day. Nothing wrong with the battery, found out it was the starter contacts. Go fig. Anyone else have input? -------------------- |

I don't think it's the starter contacts. I can't even clutch start it in reverse down my driveway.
It's got to be electrical. -------------------- |
