Where is the best place to put the 2 jack stands when jacking up the rear? I jacked up the car the other day for the first time to paint the calipers, and placed them right near the jacking points, but the frame seems so thin in the rear and the car was only sitting on the inside of the "U" shape part of the stand "arm" (as the U shape faces the wheel wells), so it seemed like only less than 1 inch on each side of the car was sitting on the stands. I guess the frame is not exactly parallel to the ground, b/c I know the jack stands are okay. Anyways, just wanted to see if you guys do it differently? Thanks!

don't worry, those places on the frame are designed to hold weight like that

rear jack points, you mean the edge of the car right in frunt of the rear tires? where the body meets the frame? I place em on the rear axel, there is a big bar that goes accros with plenty of surface nice and flat with a noticable place in the center for the jack, stands go on each side.

^ as recomended in my repair manual.
