you really should get springs that are made for the car...otherwise clunks, clanks, bumps later you're gonna wish you did.
on the other hand idk about the size of the strut, diameter of the spring seat etc. |

well i did search but my buddy at work says they're the same and it should be fine. idk so someone help clearify this!

To be honest, I wouldn't trust anybody telling me something made for another generation can fit my car. I would take the safe route and buy springs made specifically for the 6th Gen. You will probably pay the same for both anyways
