Sweet engine.
![]() Make sure they send you the AFM with it. That engine will not run without it. -------------------- ![]() I will return one day. |

I just wrote him about that. Worse comes to worse I'll just use the regular 2nd gen afm that I already have. Thanks for the concern.

The RC AFM is very different from the regular 185 AFM. The RC is much larger allowing more air to be regulated, for the different fuel maps in the ecu. The 185 afm will not work. -------------------- ![]() I will return one day. |

You are correct. I assumed you knew what I meant when I said that. If worse comes to worse I will use the 2nd gen fuel map as well... meaning I will stick with the ECU and AFM I already have and run the engine somewhat 'detuned' until an alternative presents itself.

Awesome man. I hope it works out for you.
I few more things you are going to need. Heat exchanger for the intercooler, and a pump. -------------------- ![]() I will return one day. |

The st185 heat exchanger is a direct bolt on as I'm understood. Is that correct? Where did you put your reservoir? Did you use the 185 one?
I just got a reply from the importer. He has the AFM and is including it. I'm worried that he is just going to throw a regular 2nd gen one in though. Do you know of any visual differences that I can verify its legitimacy? Thanks for the help Def. |

The RC/CS AFM should have 5 pins instead of the regular 3 pins. you should ask him if the AFM has 3 or 5 pins before buying it. If i has only 3 don't buy it. |

Greening,
You're right but I'm sure you as well everyone else knows I meant the 185rc heat exchanger. The st185 doesn't have one, so by me saying the 185 heat exchanger, there is only one exchanger I could be talking about... the RC. Thanks team omega!! |

I've been searching for an rc intercooler setup for a while now. I saw this guy selling the motor on ebay for too cheap and I had to buy it. RC transmission is $400-$500 to the all-trac'ers... and everything else I don't use will
I just checked mine and of the 7 pins possible, 4 of them have leads on the harness. Are you sure that's correct information omega? |

The RC heat exchanger will fit, its not a direct bolt on though. The st205 HE fits like a glove.

Are you sure that's correct information omega? Oh..Sorry RC AFM has five and regular has 7. My AFM is bigger than my friends and i have the whole engine sitting at home ready to swap in two weeks. I have two harnesses and both came from the st185 RC along with the AFM because my first harness was cut and three. Part numbers The AFM part number 22250-74250 The ECU part number 89661-2B280(I have two of these) The harness part number 82121-2G770-C The Igniter part number 89621-12050 I also have another ECU and i think the part # is 89661-2B310. This one came out of the st185 CS(NOT RC). I check tomorrow when im at home. Here is where i bought my second harness(exactly the same as my first harness) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=8027553642 and theres pix in there for comparision This post has been edited by team_omega: Feb 7, 2006 - 1:27 AM |

Non really you just need to make a bracket to keep it from moving around.
Just note that I have removed my condenser and the HE now sits in plce of it. So if you have the condenser still this will be just a tad bit more work for you. Good luck man -------------------- ![]() I will return one day. |
