What is the, saaayy, volume of a good intercooler for the 5sfte setup. If im not looking for huge hp
and would rather have something that will not loose much boost and fits easily in my stock front bumper what should i look for. Is there a formula for ic volume or cross sectional area for max hp capacity or boost loss from too big an intercooler?? |

without getting into all the math of it..
yes you can go too big. mine is 26X6X3, and works perfectly. you dont really need any bigger than that for a 5sfte. especially if its a good core. you could even go a bit smaller i would say, but then it dont fill out the mouth in the bumper as much.. heres some good reading about the hows and whys..lol http://www.are.com.au/techtalk/intecoolers...ube%20and%20Fin? -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

Is that your core size or total?
Did you have to do any mods of any sort to get it to fit? Good link. Thanks |
