Hi All,
am having currently a huge problem installing front dampers Kayaba ExcelG on my Celica 2.0 GT ('96). I have bought all 4 dampers, 2 rears and 2 fronts of course. Rear ones looked different though, they had this whole assembly, where the front ones came as "sticks" only. Here a pic from Kayaba page and it's exactly as on the page, front came without assembly: http://www.kayaba.de/images/products/art/prod_excel.jpg Here my rears: http://www.toyotateam.sk/upload/CelicaNR/tlmic_predny.jpg And here fronts: http://www.toyotateam.sk/upload/CelicaNR/tlmic_zadny.jpg The problem is, my mechanic can't put the fronts into the former assembly. He says it doesn't fit. Why in the hell then Kayaba would sell these dampers for Celicas ? Mechanic claims the damper cover is too thick to fit into the assembly. Did you guys have any problems with exchanging front dampers ? Are the original dampers incorporated into the assembly only (and so not interchangable) ???? PLS help.. Thanks for any advice.. -------------------- '96 Celica GT, 16" AEF alloys, Eibach springs by Toyota Team Europe, TENZO Air intake, Chiptuning, GT4 design by Postert

sports sports are sealed, get non-sport ones and you can take off the nut and take out shock and replace it, put new brake fluid inside, insert new shock and seal with nut.
