well i have waited too long for this day to finally come. and its here. i drove my car for the first time with the new motor and AWD. everyhting seems to be perfect, and having no problems what so ever.

i had the alignment done, and the guy said that it was as close to perfect as im gonna get. (i guess we did ok on all the fabs for the rear end huh?)

this weekend im trailering it home so i can get my exhaust done (3") and after that, all that it needs is a fresh coat of paint, and shes done.

so for everyone who had any doubts.....HAHAHAHA. jk.

its so fast and i love it. AWD is the way to go.

oh yeah, and thanks to everyone who has given me help and information about the project.

Ban him.

You don't incite this level of excitement without visual proof. He couldn've at least had the decency to wait and post once he had the pictures.... it's bad form.

i think that we should have some kind of meet around the area at somepoint soon. that would be nice.
then everyone could actually see it in person, seeing as how i have had a few people wanting to come see it.

pics will be up tommorrow. couldnt get the detailed ones quite yet, i need to jack it up next time to get em.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Nice job man.
How's it do at highway speeds?
What's with the rigged rear sway bars? It doesn't look quite right. It almost looks like it's a single bar straight across connected to the shocks with custom end links. But that can't be right, otherwise you'd have virtualy no rear suspension travel.

yes it is an aftermarket sway bar. and yes it is straight. i needed to buy one like that because, the way we put in the rear end, left us no room fot the GT4 sway bar. how it works is: it is attached to the rear end with bushings. the links are what lets the suspension travel (which had to be modified to fit correctly.) when cornering, the sway bar is meant to actually twist, which holds everything together and allows for slightly better handling.

the travel is perfect for the rear suspension.

Oh ok. I thought the machined piece that connects to the bar was bolted directly to the strut. Now I see that the machined piece is actually part of the sway bar and connects to the end link... not as rigged as I thought it was. Good job on the custom fab work it all looks pretty good.
