so about a month n a half ago, my original head blew. Valve guides all out of round, valves slapping, dumpin oil into the back of the head and the threads where my plugs go on my #2 cylinder were all shot. So i bought a new head, got it installed, paid nothing for the head..2 weeks l8er, i start brunin oil, coolant, leakin oil ever where. So i just got pissed off and didnt drive the celi for a week or 2. Not relizing how much oil it was leaking..it pissed out and burnt up almost all of the oil in my car. So i needed my car one day and i started it up. CRUNCH!!! Metal on metal grinding for the first 20 seconds of the car being on. So i said..thats enough. Parked the car for another 2 or 3 weeks just to do some research on where to get a motor/where to get it installed/costs..etc. So i finaly found a motor out of a JDM Camry for $500 with 50xxxKM on it. So i bring my car up 2 this place that had the engine, paid $500 for the engine, $700 for the install, and another $300 for replacing gaskets, switchin my painted valve cover, cover all the lubricants and coolant and because of that $300 i get a 3 month warrenty, unlimited KM, covers engine and labour. IE, any thing under the hood messes up, i get it fixed for free

HaRv3sTeR - Camry's came with the 5sfe and 1mz, and "switchin my painted valve cover" I would assume 5sfe.

Is there any difference between the 'jdm' camry 5sfe and the usdm one? How bout the jdm 7afe vs usdm? I'd think they'd be exactly the same but i dunno for sure...

the guy at the shop i bought the engine from said the JDM one puts out about an extra 10 HP, nothing much but a lil better. He also said that the car puts out less emmisions.
