rb26dett is basically a detuned race engine...if any one of us are lucky enough to drive or be drivin a car with an rb26dett, i think we would all change are minds about the best import engine. Again, this is a statement based on knowlege i've collected when i had my 240 and was in the market for engines

im surprised the skyline engine isnt winning :-p I love the supra and 3sgte but the skylines engine is a freakin beast.

wellllllllllllll, actually the 2jzgtte is the best engine even thought i voted 3sgte just because its been proven to handle power over 900 hp and is proven to be alot better than the rb26dett. i have seen and felt both and on light cars rb26(240 s14) and have felt a 2jz (ae86 corolla) and ill tell you that whooooo man is the 2jz fast as hell!!!!!!!

Man you guys whored that poll.

The 3S is good, but the 4G63 has been a tuner phenomenon for the past 15+ years. It may not be the most reliable, or have the most potential, but it has a larger-than-life reputation and probably the biggest aftermarket of any engine on that list--for that it deserves to win.

Only because it's smaller/lighter and allows them to run a different class. You won't see a drag supra running a 3SGTE and expect to keep up with a 2JZ.
