read my signature smile.gif ive spent a total of $40 and have gained a perceptable difference in the powerband.

however with the advanced timing you'll want to run 89 octane fuel as a precaution to prevent detionation.

typical same things..that are found in the search

k&n drop in air filter
header with full exhaust
safc2

and thats pretty much as far as it really goes via cheapo performance if you wanna call it that...

real power gains are going to come in the form of swaps or custom turbo kits which exceed 2000$....if ya wanna learn about that read the stickies in the FI section

I put a low temp thermostat, bosch +4 plugs, thicker plug wires, flowmaster muffler, and hi-flow cone filter. The car feels like it has more torque at the low end and sounds freakin' awesome.

You could get a set of KYB GR-2 gas shocks (Or Koni Yellows, or Bilstiens) and have them accompany a set of TEIN S-Tech springs, or pretty much any spring/coilover you may find in the parts database. Suspsension Tech sway bars are nice, many members have them. defgeph is still selling (I think) rear strut bars and other goodies.

In the performance dept. there isn't much you can do to make it faster w/o spending a lot of money. You can make an CAI and get an exhaust built (no one makes them) and get an SAFC tuned and you can get a bit from that. Suspension and handling I think is where our Celicas shine though.

oh man if you like a 50$ filter is expensive your in the WRONG sport dude...

suspension wise

sway bars, springs, strut bars ect.. ect..

bosch +4 plugs are just a waste of cash IMO they didn't run all that great, a set of NGKs are fine but don't expect any crazy gains from general maintanance...maybe a lil perkier if you havn't been keeping up with it...

People keep saying bosch +4 are picky, but they run great in my car. Either way, if you have bad plugs now, you need to get new ones anyway. I would say any kind of plug with one element would be good to be on the safe side (just in case the +4's don't like your car).

bosch plugs are NOTORIOUS for causing misfire. the resistor material in them is of a very low quality and has a tendency to burn out causing excessivly high resistance through the plug, a weak spark, and misfires. also some of their plugs with the same numbers as oem or other plugs actually have a deeper reach into the cylinder which can cause problems if you've had your head machined flat or high cp pistons.
