My vert top button quite working yesterday. The motor isnt even making a sound so i dont think its the vert motor, it was working than it just stopped. I hope its not the motor cuz ive heard that theyre like 800 dollars. Ive also heard that sometimes the switches on the vert switches get dirty sometimes. If this is the problem, how do i go about cleaning them?

the motors are visible once u pull out the rear seats and the side cover, where your rear speakers are.

i checked last time, they're 300 a pop.

trying to see if i can get the motor and outfit them with the teeth for the gears.

It's prolly your switch becuase you said that your motors aren't even making sound. So i doubt that both of your motors went out at the same time. But check all the wiring and the fuses. I'll try to do more research and let you know. But just make sure all the connections are clean and sucure first.

I remember a while back someone had the same problem. Take your switch out and clean off the connections. It should work just like new! smile.gif

i think ur car has this, in the trunk, look for a switch behind the gray thing, one side should say manual and the other side is blank, move it to the blank if it is on manual and things should work.

try turning your car off, popping the trunk and checking if your top is on manual or power. My switch got bumped accidentally once and I had the same problem. If the top is on power and the electronic switch is just broken, change to manual and then just operate the top by hand.
